I, too, am a Lego loyalist, but when I started working on my own design, I found the official Lego base plates wholly inadequate, as I needed their bottoms to be able to attach to other bricks, or in other words, I needed them to stack together. I wasted a lot of money buying official base plates that I thought would work, but did not. Yes, they are a little thicker than the Lego base plates, and you need to watch for that, but it is because THEY ARE STACKABLE and the Lego bases are not! If you need your bases to be more flat, get the Lego brand. If you need them to be more sturdy or attach to other bases, or need them in a more variety of colors, get this brand! I would give ten stars if I could!

Pieces do not go on and come off as smoothly as the Lego brand base plate: it takes more effort.

Made a Lego table for my daughter with these and they work great! No issues fitting the brand name bricks at all.

My children use it to build large structures.

so the studs are off just slightly that when paired to a lego plate, it begins to curve noticeably and doesnt lay flat.I was using as a floor plate to attach a building to and it curved up as the bricks were attached. It may work with studs, but the large flat plates it doesnt like. for individual pieces it should be fine.

We used these as a base for making a 4 foot square mosaic. The clear color allowed us to print patterns and people could just overlay the tile and start placing legos. They fit together well, stack well if that is needed and were exactly what we needed!

Our family loves Legos to say the least. My husband is from Denmark after all. I can honestly say that the quality of the Briks baseplates are on par with Lego. The value for the money is hands down better with Briks baseplates. They also have vibrant colored baseplates that are just so much fun. The seller is great and helped us fix a mix up in the colors. I will buy from them again.

This is a perfect solution, for those wanting a lego base plate, beyond the limited colour range, that Lego themselves appear to offer. I would almost go as far, as to say this is better quality. Mostly because this "bate plate" is thicker and more ridged, than the Lego variety. I've used four of these to create a base to hold Star Wars lego, and it's exactly what I needed. I found though, this brand of "brick building toy" isn't 100% compatible with Lego and you can find that some bricks won't remain stuck down perfectly. But it's not a deal-breaker in my mind. Not for the price.

I bought this item in conjunction with  Strictly Briks Premium 12 Color 156 Piece Loose Building Brik Set - Compatible with All Major Brands  .,,the aforementioned briks do fit on the baseplate not snuggly but do fit - that is to say they fit on the top of the baseplate being placed upwards, Alas they do not fit on the botttom stacking downwards , unless you use one of six "special" holes places at 12,3,6,9 o clock positions, It does stack if these holes and only these "special" holes on the underside of the plate are utilized, this did not meet my expectations, I expected to freely be able to place briks on the underside where I wanted them placed.NB: I bought these products to create a ganache frame - that would of (a) been affordable and (b) adaptable. . For this purpose these are not suitable. For building tower constructs provided you stack on the perimeter at the o'clock positions I am confident this would suffice. Bought these base plates as they were less than have the price of the branded ones. They are fully compatible and are sturdy and well made. I would recommend them as a good and more affordable alternative.

A good alternative to the well-known brand. The bricks from that well-known brand fit perfectly. My kids love them (bought one green and one blue) and it helps them to be more creative with what they're building. They are very durable and although they're sturdy and firm, they do bend a little so I wouldn't imagine they will snap easily unless put under significant stress.
