I purchased a to-go ChillMed based on my experience with the previous model which lasted 5 years of daily use. I required a zippered mesh out pocket for an evaporative cooling case. The redesigned ChillMed no longer fits the evaporative cooling case.Positive: Clamshell design allows easy visibility to the contents. The edges prevent items from falling out when the case is unzipped. A plus over the older model. Nice color selection. Quick delivery.Negative: The older model opens from the top, was 1/2 inch longer and had a more flexible mesh. The current model is a 1/2 shorter and although the measurements seemed to fit an evaporative cooling case the zipper placement, shorter length and less flexible mesh do not allow the evaporative cooling case to fit. Folding the evaporative case over a pen and manipulating it into the mesh pocket was difficult at best. Not worth the effort on a daily basis. My fault for not planning for the side zipper to displace some of the opening size.The newer model doesn't hold as much. The older model easily held multiple pens, a meter, test strips, lancet, swabs, needles and a pill bottle containing 5 days worth of medications. The new design fits1 pen (without the evaporative cooler), the previously listed items and a much smaller pill bottle containing1 - 1 1/2 day's medications. This is a concern since there are times when a pen doesn't contain a full dose and there needs to be space for a 2nd pen.Less variety in way to 'carry' this model - The older model had two d-rings, a belt loop and a wristlet type strap. This allowed for a variety of options - purse like shoulder strap attached to the d-rings, thread through the belt loop or hand carry via the wristlet strap. The new model has a top handle similar to what you'd find for an insulated lunch bag.Overall ChillMed offers a quality product. I like the products enough to purchase the weekly deluxe version for travel with multiple pens. The to-go will work for day-to-day. Be aware of the limitations in the new size. I hope the detailed review helps others.

really works good. The only thing I would change ,maybe add one more small pocket.

New to the diabetes game, but we are loving this case. Haven't yet used it with the icepack yet, but use it daily to take my son's diabetes supplies with us any time we leave the house. Would defiantly buy again and probably will.

Looked at several but this one works well to fit my Insulin pen, alcohol swabs, needles, meter, test strips, and lancet better than all others. Can't speak to the durability or insulating qualities just yet but hoping it keeps the heat at bay while backpacking.

I wanted this to carry testing supplies, alcohol swabs, glucose tabs, syringes and lancets.The pack was at least an inch too tall and too wide, the depth at 1.25" was perfect. I'll keep looking.

I bought this case and use it to carry my diabetic stuff. It easily fits in there. And it is discrete enough that I can carry it around without drawing attention. It has a strap that makes it easy to carry. Quality manufacturing.

I am happy with my purchase. It is a bit larger than I expected, but it holds all the necessary items. I would order from this seller again.

I have to say that I like it. It is a better-made product than my previous one that I used to store my insulin, test strips, and other diabetic supplies in. I just hope it lasts as long as my previous one.
