Drying time was nice it allowed for adjustments but do this before adding the heat to shoe. Once I got the correct placement with the easy to apply glue I heated the entire sole of my boots and applied some pressure claps, stuffed the boots with paper and placement under heavy chair for that added pressure and adhesive seal. I let them adhere for two days which they where completely dry. My boots where sweater material so not sure how leather or hard material boots would work and kit does come with heavy rubber bands but I opt for a more solid press. Functionality, speed and most definitely durable I wore my boots for a week straight and still holding strong. 10 stars

Wish I could give it a six-star rating.First things is that the glue cap was designed nicely with reuse in mind. It is not like other glues tubes that you can't reuse it a few days after you open the tube because the mouth of the tube would dry up. This tube has a very thin metal pipe and the cap has a needle to prevent the dry clue to clog the mouth. This is very thoughtful and worth an extra star.The glue is also well designed and the application process with a wait period of 5-8 min and then heat and bond is very easy to use.The strength of the glue has been great for me.

Seems to hold better than the last 'shoe glue' that I tried. With one caveat, though: this time I also added some construction staples into the equation, so it's hard to tell which is doing the holding. I just go so tired of perfectly good shoes and boots losing their soles that I thought I'd 'double down' on my fix. As the old saying goes "we can put a man on the moon, but we can't make shoes that stay together!" Or maybe I drag my feet, IDK. This product includes pretty detailed instructions on prep, drying and even use of your blow dryer, which inspires confidence that they know what they're doing.

I bought this kit to bring my old shoes back to life and I was not disappointed. This kit still needs you to use the elastic bands and/or a clamp to hold the pieces in place, however, it bonds very nicely, it is transparent and it is really strong. I am not disappointed at all and would recommend it. The instructions say to leave the shoes to dry for 24 hours and I agree. It is better to give this glue some time to dry so the bond is perfect and strong.

I had a pair of winter boots where the sole was separating from the boot. I love these boots and want them to survive another winter. I have used super glue in the past for similar projects, without any luck. So, I followed the instructions exactly, used the rubber bands that were provided to hole the shoe in place while the glue dried, and it did seem to hold. I havent worn the boots yet, but so far I would say that even if I get to wear them for a week or two in the fall, it will have been worth it.
