I ordered this replacement kit and was skeptical because it was so inexpensive. I was delighted. I bolted it on in about 20 minutes. I had to make a minor modification and one of the gas lines had to serve two purposes. I’m very pleased, very good value.

The items received did not include all items shown in the picture. One of the reasons I purchased this product was because it showed to have two additional pump bulbs. Wrong!

This was used on a Mantis Tiller to replace a worn out carburettor.

This is not a "drop-in" replacement on the Echo weed whacker. I had to use the throttle from the old one due to the differences in throttle linkage setup. Body has a mixture adjustment screw that affects both high and idle speed richness. It is not pre-set and was almost closed when I tried to start it. Initial adjustment - Close and then open 1-1/2 turns. Unit mounts up perfectly and the gasket supplied is correct. It was a good thing I ordered the kit as the original gas line had been attacked by Ethanol and the filter had disintegrated in the tank. Came with the correct size fuel line and return line.Best this unit has run since I first bought it. Recommended, but be aware that it may not fit exactly without a little work.

I have a Troy-bilt TB525CS 4/cycle trimmer. As mentioned in other reviews, the gas line doesn’t match up the original gas tank. You have to use the larger tube to make sure there’s no leaks entering the tank. Also, the throttle isn’t the same either. You’ll have to manipulate the throttle wire by unscrewing the stud at the bottom and totally remove it. The OEM has a hole where the throttle end catches. This one has a swivel slotted stud that the wire skips into, hence having to adjust the throttle to keep in from staying to high. There’s also no gasket that came with mine. The spark plug is also the incorrect one as well.Edit: now looking back, the description doesn’t list the 525CS on it, but the “replaces” section does. This DOES NOT fit the 525CS. The throttle cable attachment isn’t correct either.

Listed as compatible with TB146EC but it’s not for 3 reasons. 1) fuel intake is opposite side of the carb. They provide longer fuel lines but they are incorrect size for OEM tank. 2) The throttle cable guide is not large enough for the stud to fit through because it’s for a different style throttle cable. 4) The Throttle cable guide bracket blocks the return hose to the air filter. You could make this work but it’s more of a retrofit that I’m willing to go through.
