Spalding NBA Varsity Basketball

As a basketball fanatic I am always looking for a good ball to play with. This ball is durable, and for the price was a good purchase. I am happy to say that this ball bounces well, and keeps air in efficiency. The colors are great as they are earth tones which is nice when playing outside. Great buy! Thanks.

Arrived in perfect condition, and inflated to proper specs. Ready to use! Great ball all around, and looks good too. Was odd that it came in an unmarked, plain cardboard box. No brand, no words, no instructions, etc. Thus, this would not make a good "gift" since it might seem used to the receiver. There were no marks, smears, nor anything else on the ball to indicate it had been used, though, so not sure why it didn't have a product box.

We purchased this Basketball for Easter for our 7 year old son. Great basketball. Comes already aired up, so it’s ready to use. We have purchased several basketballs throughout the years from Walmart, the last one didn’t even last a week before losing air. This basketball seems like good quality, and has been going strong since we purchased it (about a month ago). Fun colors too.

Great basketball for my 5y.o. son who is just starting the clinic league. Not too big/not too small, well made, and the blue and black color option is nice for keeping track of yours in a sea of orange basketballs. I admit I was dismayed at first that he didn't want a traditional orange one but if he can get excited about the color, he can get more excited about playing the game, so I'm happy.Also with this color ball and a silver sharpie, the little guy enjoyed writing his name and age all over it. Many times.

Product is exactly as it appears in description. Great color works just fine. My daughters 2 favorite colors together couldn't pass it up. The only reason I did 4 stars instead of 5 was because I had to pay extra in shipping to get it before Christmas. All other product I received came in with plenty of time before Christmas with no extra charge, but for this product I had to pay an extra $10. And then it still took twice as long to get vs other product I received. I almost didn't get it in time. By the time you factor in shipping price and price of product you can go to a sports store to buy. I shop amazon for the deals so I can save money. So if you order early it's great product for the price but if you pay for shipping (to me) it's not worth the extra charge.

The ball doesn't actually mention how bouncy it is. So for those that were holding off their purchase because they didn't know the bounce scale, I would say that it's a Medium. The ball does what it's supposed to...it bounces, looks good and also fits through a regulation size basketball hoop. I recently injured my finger which has meant that I'm unable to test out the spinning capabilities of the ball. I like to spin basketballs on my finger for as long as I can and pretend like I'm in a 90's basketball movie. My longest is about 45 seconds! Once my finger has healed I'll update my review. I just thought it was important that I get my review up as soon as possible so people knew about the bounce rating. I can't say how I injured my finger because it's part of a non-disclosure agreement from my recent settlement with the County sewage department. Let's just say...public toilets are a tricky place sometimes!

This is perfect for my 4-yr old. He's just starting to play basketball, and while this ball is a little bigger than he'd probably prefer, he can still dribble it and shoot it without much trouble. It came pretty decently inflated, too (didn't have to add any air on our own), so he was able to use it straight out of the box. We actually ended up buying a second one for our daughter, who loved the colors and wanted her own. Good, durable ball -- definitely would buy again!

These basketballs are just adorable! I bought 3 for sisters who all have a birthday near each other and a dad who is big into basketball. They just loved them! My only issue is that they came not all the way inflated and I didn't have a needle or the time to get one to fix that issue so I ended up having to give them semi flat balls and their dad aired them up after. They don't come in any particular packaging either just plain brown boxes which is nice for wrapping but not the best presentation. Just some things to be aware of. Overall a great value and product!
