I am lost on this massage tool
This massage tool is unique in what I have ever seen in a massage tool design. That uniqueness is also one that I could not get comfortable using it as I have a difficult time trying to position the massager in a way that it was supposed to be designed to perform. The tool is very sturdy and stiff, no chance of it looking like it will every succumb to heavy weight when trying to sit on it or lay down. It's ok, but not that good to use even with the instruction manual.

Difficult to place and move along spine
I don't have a lot of issues with tight muscles, but I needed some help on the muscles between the shoulder blades. It's difficult to get to, and that's what I thought this massage tool could help with.I tried to lay on the floor using this massager as the pictures show, but that doesn't work at all for me. It gives me problems with my neck and I can't get my head all the way down. Not very relaxing, and it could be very painful. You also want to avoid hurting or injuring yourself. But I figured out that I can do it on the bed with a pillow for my head. It sort of works. The problem is you don't keep the position for long, and it is awkward to move the tool up along your spine. Another issue is that it is slippery. That can be an issue when working close to your neck.It works best for me to stand with my back against a wall and move the massager up my spine, pressing into it. I also do it sitting in a chair with a back high enough so that you can place the tool between your back and the back of the chair, so that you can lean into it. Or, turning it around and using the upper wing part as handles. That way I can change the placement more easily and then pull and release the pressure with my hands using these 'handles'. That works really well.I tried sitting on it and it is okay but doesn't do much. It takes some playing around with it to figure out what works for you and how to use it. It helped me with some tension in the upper back, but haven't used it for any other part/muscle.I am in my late 60s, and maybe for a younger person it is easier to work with. Flexibility certainly helps in using it..

Instructions, of course, are terrible, but it does reach some pain points that others don't!
So I've got some shots here of the nature and quality of the provided instructions. For something that should be pretty descriptive in terms of health and safety, it's not hitting all the bases at all, and in fact has a lot of absolutely unclear imagery, labels, and wording. These foreign companies just don't invest enough in high quality translations--they mostly suck. Here they are even circles pinpointing the wrong peaks on the device, which makes me worried they don't even understand their own product. With those qualms said, the shape of this device does allow pretty precise deep pressure at points other things like massage or lacrosse balls don't quite reach because of their curved surfaces. Here you can really position it to dig deep, as well as migrate your body around at particular angles to get more deeply where you want. I find it does relax some of the tighter low back muscles where I have chronic pain. I'm going to try to use it consistently every day, since I've already had a little relief, and then update here if there are any issues. The material is very sturdy and strong and does not bend under my considerable body weight. I like that you basically have four orientations that provide high and low, narrow and wide pressure peaks. Depending on your body shape, you may have to migrate the device from one side to the other to get what you're looking for in terms of reaching that one spot that is troublesome. Definitely for me that is the psoas and whatever muscles are right up against the sacroiliac joint. So I'm getting some good self-massage therapy in there.Overall, I had to figure this thing out and the pictures are only barely useful...you can hardly see what direction they've got the thing or whether it is up or down. But I'm getting some relief here and there and hope to use it long term to really get release. It's a 4 so far for me.

Confusing instructions, design could use some help
If you're able to get this massage tool in the right spot, it does indeed provide some relief (albeit painful in the process!).However, the instructions leave a lot to be desired; there are some translation issues and the photos aren't nearly clear enough to safely replicate the recommended movements. The two primary reasons I chose this product were for psoas and piriformis relief, but the way the tool is designed, you can't do both psoas muscles at once unless your body is a VERY specific size, and it's awkward to do one at a time because the tool doesn't stay stable. For the piriformis, the only way to reach both sides at once also creates a painful pressure point on a bone, which is not great.I was able to find a few positions that provided relief, but overall, I'm afraid this is more trouble than it's worth.
