PRYSM Dishwasher Pump Replaces WD26X10013

This new pump is much quieter than the old one I took out (vintage 1978 - I thought about working on it to try to fix it, but was just too worn out). This new one seems much smaller and lighter, and I believe it pumps less water around, so the closeness of fit of other parts is really important to make sure it sprays well. I made sure my old spray arm had good bushings and that the bellows that connects it to the tower was good, and the spray reaches up and does a good job on the upper rack dishes. It was pretty easy to install, though I had to bend one of the supplied brackets a bit and form it to work with my dishwasher. I suspect most people aren't still running dishwasher from the 1970s, though, so it will likely drop right into newer machines. Our dishwasher runs pretty much every day, and several months later it's still running well. To me, it was much better to just replace this pump rather than replace the whole machine. If you are reasonably handy, you can put it in yourself.

Before I got this my dishwasher would click but not drain. After I installed this PRYSM pump my dishwasher has been working great for some time now. It was really easy to install, and was a perfect fit. This saved my dishwasher from going to the landfill... at least for a while. I'm very happy with it.

Pump was easy to install but it leaked around the top. Thought was the hoses at first but after further inspection it was the seal at the top of the pump. Would not recommend. Don't buy!!!

We had a dishwasher that started leaking, but had otherwise been working fine. After discovering the source of the leak being the pump housing, and that it was only available as a complete unit with a new motor and housing, I purchased this replacement.It came quickly and was easy to replace, which saved the cost of a new dishwasher. It has been working flawlessly for over a year now, so we are pleased with this solution.

No problems with dishwasher since the part was installed. Not too difficult to install if you have a fairly good idea of what you're doing. Functioning perfectly so can't complain !

Easy to install. Only draw back so far is that it's significantly louder then the previous unit. The motor is louder, but it also is pumping alot harder then the old one, washing the heck out of the dishes. The drain/bypass solenoid on this one has a rediculous buzz that I'm a little suspicious of. I may ask for an exchange if it's over amping, haven't gotten back down there to see if it has an amp rating or what it's pulling. However the system itself is operating as expected and I'm happy with how well it's washing things, so if amps are good I'll live with it. To the person who gave this unit a one star because it wasn't bringing water to the machine.. This doesn't do that. It sounds like your water solenoid is bad. That isn't on this assembly. You'll need to get a new solenoid and make sure to turn the water off to your home or apartment before changing that. On the bright side you have upgraded your dish washer with a new pump, so consider it a win.

Works perfect

BOUGHT THIS NEW PUMP, BOX CAME HERE ALL BUSTED UP AND PUMP STICKING HALF WAY OUT OF IT. PUT NEW PUMP IN DISHWASHER AND IT LEAKED WORSE THAN THE OLD ONE WE TOOK OUT. REMOVE IT AND DISCOVERED A CRACK IN THE HOUSING. LOOKED LIKE IT MAY HAVE BEEN SHIPPING DAMAGE. TOOK OLD HOUSING AND REPLACED THE CRACKED ONE ON THE NEW PUMP. FIXED THE PROBLEM, BUT A LOT OF EXTRA WORK.

Doesn't work, drain valve stays stuck. Had it replaced under warranty and it did the same thing. Solenoid de-energizes but the valve doesn't close unless the flow of water completely stops. Would not recommend
