I have had this unit for around 11 months. It works great, and it's really quiet. The app works, the remote works, I've had to clean the filters a few times which was really easy. I do recommend getting the app so you can download firmware updates.I have had about 6 units and this is the best one I've ever had by far, which is surprising since it only has one tube for the exhaust.This is a safe buy. I use it in a medium sized bedroom but it ends up cooling most of the upstairs and that's with leaving a door open so my dog can use the patio at anytime. It's a really impressive unit.I have not noticed the outside air coming into the unit, as one reviewer states, I don't even think it's possible since it has just one tube that only blows in one direction. It's never created funky odors. Not sure why his outside air smells like wet dogs he should get that checked out.

Dreo seems to have thought of everything! I've had this portable unit for almost two weeks and so far I am very pleased.Maybe its due to me not having many wifi controlled appliances other than my smart TV, but I love being able to control the AC with my phone. Whether I'm in the other room, or coming home from work, I love being able to turn the ac on so the bedroom is cool by the time I arrive.The app is a really cool feature in other ways such as listing how many hours youve used the unit, and how long until the AC needs to have its filters cleaned. Then, it has a video just in case you werent aware of how to clean the reusable filters. Ive had portable units, so I was already knowledgable on filter cleaning, but it was a nice addition to the app.I guess if I had to be picky, I wish the exhaust hose attached from the other side in the back, but it seems maybe its just me and how my room is set up.The magnetic dock for the remote with glow in the dark buttons is a nice touch too. Im not sure I'll ever use it as long as theres an app, but at least Dreo thought of it.Cautiously optimistic about this purchase!

Son has MEGA POWERFUL COMPUTER and a three monitor set-up in his bedroom/office working 18 hours a day.. Darn computer set-up puts out a ton of heat. His room was always 10 to 15 degrees hotter than rest of house. We froze in the rest of the house while he was almost comfortable. Got this DREO portable air conditioner unit and it has been a heaven sent problem solver. Everyone is now comfortable and our electric bill is now back to reasonable. No problem installing or operating. Not using the dehumidifying mode so no need for water drainage hose. I did put a thick set of foil coated foam board I had in garage behind the thin window plastic exhaust panel to keep out some of the outside heat, but other than that, everything needed was included with more parts than needed. FYI...Unit price peaked when summer started (Ask RUFUS "PRICE LAST MONTH" then click on 90 DAYS TAB). I also saw a GREAT COUPON 2 days ago that is currently NOT AVAILABLE (and not reflected in the RUFUS answer). We would still recommend this unit at the current price to friends or family if they needed it right now.
