No more typing in the date and time every time I turn it on

Over time these batteries will eventually fail. When they do in a laptop, the next time you boot up it will whine about not having the correct time and you'll have to reset it. Replace this battery every 2 years or so and you'll be golden. Can't say how long these last as I just installed them but they have the voltage of a fresh battery. Very reasonable and fairly easy to install on my laptop. Took 3 minutes.

After watching a couple of YouTube "how to" videos -- replacement of CMOS battery was straight forward. Required phillips "jeweler" screw driver & find needle nose pliers. Please DO USE protections and good work bench habits to prevent ElectroStatic Discharge (ESD) damages to laptop motherboard & components (see wiki pages for ESD hazards). BIOS restart? When the old CMOS battery went dead, the Dell e6420 lost key BIOS settings -- especially for NVIDIA card use vs default video display handling by operating system. Graphics intensive & GL dependent apps (like Google Earth) will be "broken" until the BIOS is reconfigured to hint & encourage Operating Sytem to "defer" to NVIDIA "display adapter" for screen renderings. Good time to vacuum laptop mother board and clean CPU cooling fans / grills from accumulated dust, lint & dirt. Use rigorous ESD protections w/ vacuum system -- vacuum systems can generate TREMENDOUS ESD hazards.

Did not fit my laptop! QC on the product was either poor or non exsistant. Should have been three leads and there were only two.

Works as intended. Not easy to install unless you're a qualified technician. A bit pricey for a simple coin battery wrapped in shrink wrap with a wire harness attached. But if you got to have it.....

This is a plug and play replacement battery for E6410 laptop. Hopefully the battery life will be identical to the original which came with the laptop.
