I buy this for my husband. The smell is light. He loves it. Makes his beard soft. But not stiff or greasy. great product for the money. 1 can lasts about a month or more for him and he uses it 5 days a week. His beard is about 4 inches past his chin.

Purchased 2 of this item for a Father's Day gift & up on opening the 2nd beard balm the product smells rancid. No contact info for company & the month return window has past. Don't buy multiple balms if you don't intend on using right away. Purchased the end of June this year.

This may be the best priced balm on Amazon. The consistency is a lot like soft butter. I have another balm that's harder, but I wouldn't put it in my beard without this or some oil. This won't do much to help you style your beard, but will help it keep a soft hold and moisturize. I would suggest buying a harder balm or wax to use with this for a longer mustache or beard.
