Well Made and packaged Product
The product is quite robust and well designed. I like the built in drain valve and screen cleaner as well as the fact that the filter comes complete with a wall mount and a filter housing wrench. This is more than comes with similar items.I have not installed this as yet because the item description on the type of fittings provided was not completely accurate. The seller has worked very hard to correct this problem and hopefully the item description will remove the references to 1/2" FNPT fittings.The seller offered a generous refund to offset the costs of getting the correct fittings. I have ordered a suitable adapter and after installing the filter and using for a while, I will update the review.

It doesn't properly thread into American pipe.
It might be considered rude to give a 1 star rating to such a well made item but the seller is aware that the pipe threading is wrong for use with American pipe and has done nothing to change it. When I asked about the problem the seller ignored me. I had to buy a pipe threading die to recut the 1/2" pipe adapters so they would screw in and seal. If it weren't for this, I would give it a 5 star rating. The filter is well designed and made other than not being threaded for the American market.I'm using this as a pre-filter in my kitchen because of a rust issue in the 90 year old pipes in my old house. The filter is before an on demand water heater and a more serious filter going to a separate tap. I'm only half way though the project but with this pre-filter, the brown rust tinge is already gone.If the seller fixes the problem, I'd be happy to delete this negative review. If not be prepared to have to modify this before it will work...

extra layer of protection for clean water
I thought why not give it a try as this water pre-filter system is a lot more affordable than other water filter systems. No future maintenance costs as the filter is flushable and the seller said no need to replace the filter in the Q&A. The filter is also clear allowing us to see whether it’s working and whether we need to clean it. Great value for what it costs.

Great price and quality
Had it for 2 months and so far no issues and it works great at my lake house where there is no ground or city water and everyone has to pump nonpotable water straight from the lake. For $40 you cant beat it. Cheesy plastic one at homedepot costs the same ammount.

Not as described, no possible way this is 40 micron.
There is no possible way this is a 40 micron filter. We believe this is 40 MESH, which is a very different measurement system. This does not remove visible sediment, as a true 40 micron filter would. It can basically handle sand and larger, which is what a 40 mesh (or 420 micron) filter can do.I like the cleaning mechanism, though. So if you're looking for a larger filter hole, this may work for you nicely... But it is most definitely not as advertised.

Good quality and well made filter. Easy install. Was the perfect solution for the water feed to my pressure washer.

Easy to install
Is doing what it is supposed to do. Immediately trapped debris. Time will tell about the longevity of the product.
