The lever has a solid heft to it--smooth and comfortable to grasp--and having lever hardware instead of a knob makes a difference when carrying groceries or juggling bags. It feels like a small upgrade that pays off every day. The most important feature for me is the ability to schedule it to lock at a certain time every night. Now I don’t lay in bed wondering if I remembered to lock the door; it just takes care of itself, and that peace of mind is huge. Fingerprint recognition isn’t flawless--it often works on the first try, but sometimes I have to try again--but it’s quick enough and reliable enough that I never think of it as a problem. Installation takes some patience, but the instructions are clear, and the process is very doable if you pay attention step by step. Once installed, the app setup is simple. I think of it as “set it and forget it”--I created the schedule, turned on notifications, and haven’t had to open the app again. Unlocking makes a quiet mechanical sound, and there’s a fairly loud beep by default that can be disabled (I turned it off right away). Durability has been excellent. My unit is fully exposed--no overhang, sitting in direct desert sun and rain for seven months--and it has never faltered. I’ve only had to replace the batteries once in that time, even with multiple entries and exits every day. The Wi-Fi connection has been rock solid as well; remote access has never failed me. I liked this lock so much that I purchased another one for my garage side door. It’s a product that combines comfort, reliability, and peace of mind in a way that makes it easy to recommend.

This C33 replaced an older Schlage Smart lever lock that only opened with a code. My wife has long nails & can't enter the code. This C33 has multiple ways to unlock besides a code. In addition to a code, there's a fingerprint reader (that works great), Wi-Fi via the app, physical key, NFC card & Alexa. There's even a power jack in the event the batteries die. There is a battery status icon in the app. It will also send a notication when batteries drop to 20%. 7/13/2025 update..original factory batteries only lasted 2.5 months. Hopefully brand name batteries will last 12 months as promised. Replacement was simple until it came to attaching the back half (contains the batteries). The cable seemed to get in the way preventing the back unit from sitting flush with the door. I moved it around countless times times before it worked. The only modification I had to make was enlarging the door jamb for the Eufy striker plate (Schlage plate wouldn't work). All total it took about one hour. It took another 10 minutes per user to set up in the app, individual codes, fingerprints & Eufy NFC card. NFC cards were an option ($20 for 3 pak). All things considered this is a great well thought out lock except for that cable problem (hope they fix that0.

I'm totally blind. I wanted a smart door handle taht I could connect to Alexa. Well I don't know if this one would or wouldn't. I also wanted one taht had a physical number keypad. The Amazon AI tolld said it did ahve physical buttons. Well when I got the door handles, I found out this doesn't have physical buttons. So being I have no backup for when the finger print reader doesn't work in the winter! Returning it. The fact this has a touch screenb wasn't given anyware in the discription. If that had been stated; I never would have bothered with it. Totally disappointed with this door handle. Otherwise it felt well built and I like the fact that the normal key whole and power port whir on the bottom of the outside unit. I also like the fact that the batteries would have went in below the door handle on the inside of the door. But do to this not having physical buttons, doesn't meet my needs. Don't want something that has a touch screen being I can't see at all. The other downside to this lock is you must press down on the handle to unlock the door. You can not lift up on it. So basically what I'm saying, this only will work one direction. Not that is a big deal, just something to know and to be aware of. So if you are totally blind! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT if you want access to all the functions. NOT doable.

Good quality lock. It was easy to install on my garage door. The app is ok.

Easily installed (watch a video about it first). Works well at securing the door as it should. Touch pad functions well but occasionally have to touch the fingerprint sensor a few times to trigger the unlock. For the price, I have nothing to complain about. There is one feature I would love to have and that is unlocking with near field communications from my phone, but I'm sure that would have to cost more and use up the batteries sooner. It is a very good value!
