Hello Kitty Island Adventure - Deluxe Edition Nintendo Switch

For years, I wondered what the hype of games like Animal Crossing and though I tried Paleo Pals demo, it just still didn’t appeal to me. I couldn’t get how people got so excited for them. But with Hello Kitty Island Adventure, I can say that now I completely understand. It’s such a calming and relaxing experience, all wrapped in good graphics with the well known Sanrio characters and some not so much. I’m happy Chococat gets to be on the island - he’s my absolute favorite character and Retsuko too.I’ve had the game just a day shy of a week and I’ve completed a good chunk of the storyline, as well as side quests. The guiding light feature is wonderful, I use it to remind me to keep on track after I purposefully wander around looking for stuff lol and the puzzles are a good stretch of the old brain muscles. This game has been my only to play game all week and I haven’t gotten bored at all.So if you’re like me, who’s never played cozy games before, want to try something a little bit easier than Animal Crossing and you like Sanrio, you’ll love this game.

This game is SO cute and it's SO much fun. I have such a great time doing quests, discovering all the different parts of the island and getting to know all of the characters. Yeah, it's a bit similar to Animal Crossing, but it's different and distinct. It is such a joy to play.

Loved the idea of this game when it came out, but was hard to play on a phone. Much easier on the Switch! Sometimes long load times but considering it’s supposed to be a cozy game the waiting isn’t the worst, especially since the rest is fun. Definitely strong hints of Animal Crossing but with its own unique features- I enjoy the underwater areas and being able to interact more with the characters via the quests.

Fans of Animal Crossing who are burned out on the lack of updates finally have a worthy competitor in the cozy gaming space.More or less, this is the same game on Apple Arcade, with the added bonus of all of the seasonal content from the get-go. It would have benefitted from the addition of camera control or guidance to NPCs that didn’t get caught up and confused in some spots, but it remains a very enjoyable cozy game. Compared to Disney’s Dreamlight Valley, the gameplay and animations are a huge step up in quality, and the characters are way cuter, too.Some quality of life updates to make it feel less like a phone game would help a lot, but there is so much to do that I can’t help but play more whenever I need an Animal-Crossing-like.

It's a really great game j i ust got to learn how to figure things out and I usually restart my games a few times until I figure it out :)

My daughter and I play this all the time and we love it. It's a lot of fun. We love Animal Crossing and this game is very similar to that.

Play solo or together! There are awards for both types of play! Adorable characters and cute arenas to play in. The game is beautiful!

I purchased this for my daughter for her birthday. She’s super excited.
