This external drive worked immediately with my MacBook Air. I just plug it into the USB and recorded a CD with iTunes. The quality of the recording was good, actually better than I thought it would be. There is one complaint I have that keeps me from giving it a 4, but it is certainly not a deal breaker. I found that if I left it to record and then came back later the CD would not eject. All I had to do with unplug it and plug it back in, and it worked fine. It's just a minor inconvenience, but otherwise I am very pleased with the product.

I'm updating my review of this product. The first DVD player I received didn't work but Jason of HOMEFUNTIME very quickly sent me a new player, as well as gave me a full refund. The second player works beautifully. I really appreciate his kindness and loyalty to customers. His customer service is spot on and I would buy from this seller again, due to his quickness and desire to make it right. Thank you!I bought this so that I could play DVDs on my tablet and it doesn't work. All it did was sit there and whir over and over. I tried multiple DVDs and none of them would play. And now I'm stuck with it because it's past the return window. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

This product arrived on time and in good shape. It not, however, work when plugged into one of my USB 3.0 ports. The light would come on and then it would constantly try to read a disc. I t also never showed up in the system. After a few minutes windows 10 would inform me that the device could not be registered and flagged it as a defective device. I returned this to Amazon and was quickly given a refund for the full purchase price.

Good, if you have a new laptop without a dvd player, just add this plus the VLC software online, and you have a way to view dvds and install programs again. Worth it.

This is a nice, compact dvd drive. I really like the fact that the USB cable is attached to the drive so you dont have to worry about losing the cable. I plugged the drive into my laptop and was immediately able to start watching a dvd – the drive is powered through the usb cable so you only need to plug it in once. This also makes the drive easy to transport on trips etc. Been using it for a week now and no issues so far.

This DVD player was great while it lasted. It was small and compact. Just plug in and play. However, after only maybe a dozen uses it just stopped working. Computer wouldn't recognize it. Waste. I went and bought a regular old DVD player that plugs into the TV from Wal-Mart.

I got this last week and we have already used it to watch movies on my MacBook Air! It has worked great and hasn't had any problem. Giving it a 4 because the first time that I tried to use it a weird message popped up saying it couldn't recognize my time zone. Other than that it has been great!
