I really like this slim design. There are three compartments to the filter. The bottom one has coarse sponge and It would be hard to put anything else in that place due to the strainer moulded into the bottom section. However the upper two compartments can contain anything you choose, it doesn't have to be what is supplied with the filter. The output is adjustable. I like that there are both a spray bar and a jet with aeration as output options. I have mine in a Ciano 30 aquarium, my version of a nano tank, and its doing a great job keeping it clean! Its powered by USB and comes with an adapter, it really leaves you wanting nothing. I estimated full power is around 200 litres an hour. Its very quiet too, cant hear it in my bedroom, apart from the trickle of the spray bar.

I was sceptical about this filter but I’m so glad I brought it. It has multiple compartments to add the media I wanted to. Its flow is excellent for my 125litre aquarium and the flow is adjustable. I like the fact it pulls water through the bottom as well as the sides and the compartments are designed so the water pulls from the bottom compartments only so that the water has to pass through every bit of the media. I’ve had it for over two months and its flow is as good as when I first plugged it in. I was worried the usb plug might mean it would be less powerful but it’s actually better than all the previous top brands I’ve tried in the past. Most importantly it is so quiet to the point of silence, no annoying humming I was actually amazed by that! It filters so well and easy to clean. It’s just brilliant. Top tip is to give it a shake under the water to expel any air as that’s the only sound it makes is when the bubbles go through it when first plugged in. I definitely recommend this filter… absolute game changer for me!

works great when i first put it in but i really don’t recommend it after a few months of use. it gets clogged super easy and won’t work. i spend so much time cleaning it literally every day. not good for planted tanks, avoid and save your money

Great filter but does get dirty quite fast so regular rinsing is need or tank becomes cloudy and can be a bit fiddly to pull apart and re assembly with wet hands

Had this a month now, it works good on a 64ltr tank, i use mine on the rainfall mode, it has cleared the tank up, i also have a double sponge filter in the tank, only two things i can pull it on are, the plastic is very brittle and you need to be very careful pulling it apart to clean, the other thing is the sponge filter is small and thin and it does get blocked very quickly which slows the flow down, i do like that you can have the rainfall in two directions at the same time. Over all its a nice filter for the smaller aquarium.

I was initially very impressed with this item as it was really quiet and cleared the water in my 30 litre tank within hours of starting, however it stopped working after only 8 weeks and despite having a 2 year guarantee, I have had no response from the seller and my Amazon return window had closed, so now searching for another similar unit to try.

Excellent little filter for price. Had to remove e the carbon due to negative foe my plants but replaced with existing filter sponge to kick start this filter. Will be replacing with floss eventually. Pretty quiet long as out let closet to water and reduce flow slightly. Definitely would have again if needed for the price it's v good.

This filter is super easy to install and works very well. I love the fountain extensions I got with it. It is easy to clean as each filter stage can be detached separately. It recycles large amounts of water within a short time. I highly recommend it.
