It's what you need when you Need it.
Had an old Coax and Power wire run to older existing cameras we wanted to replace with POE Gigabit PTZ cameras. Tried the coax on the longest run we had to go first and it was spoty on maintaining an ethernet connection (RG59 Coax not the best terminations either). Ended up using the supplied BNC to Terminal (2 Conductor) adapter and connected them to the power wires instead. They have been rock solid on all 4 PTZ cameras. POE power and Ethernet connected perfectly. It was even able to fit inside the arm of the camera when we used the optional junction box for the camera mount. It worked so well with the 2 conductor cable I did that for all the cameras just to be safe. The Coax was probably not run very well from what I could tell. This device also helped us because of the external power connection. The POE switch we originally had spec'd out and purchased did not have the power budget to support all 4 PTZ cameras (should blame someone else on that). Since these accepted a power supply connection to power the devices and the POE I was able to power all the cameras on the power supplies and use a regular switch. Bonus points for that!Buying more of these to keep on hand as they are handy for these types of installs and have a plan to use one for a remote VOIP install that they should work perfect on.

It works! Great for POE IP cameras
I'm using this to connect my new POE IP camera (Ubiquiti UniFi G3) using an existing run of coax from an old analog camera. I only just installed it, but so far so good. Really impressed and pleasantly surprised that it works at all, since it's kind of a crapshoot with stuff like this, but it totally works. The one hiccup is that the camera requires 24v POE but this product supplies about 51v. Normally the switch would negotiate the appropriate voltage with the camera, but in this case, the switch detects the adapter and supplies it with the higher voltage. I solve with a Ubiquiti INS-8023AF-I 802.3AF Passive PoE to 802.3AF adapter, which steps the voltage down to 24v for UniFi cameras. It was a little difficult cramming the box through the single gang box and now it's dangling inside the wall (secured with zip ties, so that I don't lose it), but if it ever fails it's going to be a huge pain fishing it out of the wall. Not sure what I would even replace it with. So, hopefully it lasts!
