Electrician Reviewer (Get an airflow QuietAir QT150HT instead)
The fan failed after a couple of weeks and after checking other reviews it appears this fan has a tendency to start making a really loud noise like the one I fitted did. Save yourself a massive headache and get an alternative fan, its not worth the hassle. I ended up getting an airflow version which has been great to date. Please note that I have fitted the 100mm versions of the expelair and they have been fine, I do believe there is a major floor with this model of fan from the reviews I have read. Eventually through persistence I have managed to get a refund through Amazon after the seller only offered me a replacement which I was unhappy with.

Quality auto on / off fan that works with some adjustment
There was a fault with the first attempt but the store were great and replaced without any issues. This is a good quality fan. It’s not silent, but it is quiet. I have this installed in an airing cupboard where I replaced a gas boiler for a condensing clothes dryer and this kicks in automatically when the humidity rises and shuts off once cleared. Adjusting humidity is the key for auto mode to work correctly. Too low humidity the fan does not shut off and too high the timer did not run on long enough. With a little adjustment I was able to achieve the right balance for my situation. Very happy with the results.

Astonishingly noisy
The manufacturers spec sheet says the noise levels are 39 and 42db for the two speed settings. I measured the actual sound levels to be almost double this. It's almost as noisy as my vacuum cleaner. If I allowed it to operate at night time it would wake up my next door neighbours. The two speeds are almost the same. There's not much point having two speeds when you can't tell the difference between them. I'm currently investigating controlling the speed with an external speed controller. The noise of this fan renders it unfit for purpose because of the roar it makes. Full marks for their sense of humour though, calling it 'Simply Silent'.

Excellent to remove moisture.
The humidistat function is why I bought this, but concerned that it keeps running forever long after the bathroom appears moisture free ie no condensation on the cold glass surfaces.

Really noisy fan
I have had 3 electricians out to try to fix this as it makes so much noise. I have been told that something inside is hitting off something else and cannot be rectified so I will need to replace with a new fan even though it is less than 12 months old and I have incurred numerous electrician's call out fees. I also have unfortunately bought a second one before I realised there was a problem with this. This one is also unbelievably loud. I usually buy vent axia and the difference is astounding. These have been bought for rental properties so I did not realise how loud they were until it was too late to do anything about it. Had I bought from a shop I would have been able to return. The noise was so bad that when I was doing viewings I had to turn the fan off. There is no window in the bathroom so the fan being on is vital.

Was all about the quiet
Decent little unit , works well and what noise it does produce isn’t that irritating white noise some extractors produce

Not great
Fan blade keeps sliding forward and hitting front of unit face causing very loud noise.
