good value
Bought this as an emergency heater for power down / gas down SHTF scenario and the fact it heats water is a big bonus for sanitation and food reconstitution. It's thin metal and will need to be treated with care and monitored closely for creosote buildup. Nevertheless seems well suited to heat a small room in the basement and it's ventable. Took a couple more months than expected but was packaged okay. COVID delay i assume. Not quite a small wood burning stove but also not as heavy and not as expensive. Instructions not provided but it's not a complicated device.

Great mini stove
Great mini stove. Thin metal but works well...even indoors (give clearance!) Flame comes out of pipe if high. & Wish the 2" stove pipe (to vent smoke) was a avilable cheaper /easier.

Seems very thin, should transfer heat easily
Package arrived, I could not figure out who would spell my country Amerika. Opened box and realized it was my tipi stove. I am already worried about stove latch and if it handle the feeding of wood. Product does not seem durable, I guess time will tell with New England winters. I will update this after a few usages.

Works very well
Assembly required, but not difficult. Tried this out using some barbeque briquittes and charcoal. Works best with the fuel loaded through the top of the firebox, with the canister/kettle fitted after loading. Use lighter fluid sparingly. Fits 3 inch aluminum flexible duct, but would be better with a 3" sheet metal flue. Does a reasonable job drawing smoke out the flue if the door is closed. Expect some smoke, especially when lighting. It was dented during shipping, but I don't mind because it's a camp stove.

Decent value, a little flimsy
I'd been looking at this thing for a few months and finally decided to get it. It arrived within a few days of ordering, undamaged which surprised me based on other reviews. I read up on samovars having never heard of them before. I just thought it was a neat idea. This one is a serviceable and inexpensive way to get into them and a decent way to make hot water for tea or coffee or the like when at camp or at home. You could burn sticks or wood in it, but it's really better to use charcoal. I take coals from the fire and put them in the chamber and it works like a charm with no soot, but you could also use grilling charcoal. If you want to get into the whole history of samovars that's an entire rabbit hole and there are some elaborate and decorative ones out there you can spend hundreds and even thousands on.
