Fujifilm FinePix S4430

I like it a lot. I just wish it had come with a book. I downloaded a book and I am now learning what I can do with it. It does take very nice pictures. It is my third Finepix and they are all similar in operation.

I bought this for my wife for Christmas, the one she had was like a toy compered to this camera. She is taking better quality pictures with this one. Consumers Report had Fujifilm camera's in there report as one of the best to buy. I looked at the others but I settled for this one.Yes, I would recommend this Fujifilm camera to my friends and who ever ask me I would tell them it's worth the money.

In low light conditions, manual didn't compensate like my other Fuji camera. I liked the look and feel of the camera, but it seemed in adding higher zoom, etc., somethings were lost. I was comparing it to my Fujifilm Finepix S1500, which I reordered when sending back theS4450. The S1500, which apparently they no longer make, is a fantastic camera.Cecilia

Basically I am a total newby to digital camera's so I selected this one. Seller has been communicative and helpful.

I purchased this camera for my wife. So she would stop taking my expensive DSLR camera. She absolutely loves it. For basic photography this camera is ideal and take a wonderful picture. I would put this camera on the top end of point and shoots without the price tag of some of the cameras out there that have less features.Remember that not only is the quality dependent on the camera but also on the SD card. 4 and below are imo grainy even on the finest setting. 5-8 better and 9 and 10 the best not only for transfer rates but in the quality of pictures. This is the second FinePix cameras we have owned (the first dropped 20 ft by my wife)Images less then 60 ft come close to my DSLR. This camera is ideal for people new to photography and those looking for nice crisp detail without the price of a DSLR

Superb picture quality for an inexpensive camera!

This camera is pretty standard, nothing special, and good for beginners. You can rarely get a good focus out of it. (aka- sharp focus object, blurred backdrop) So if you like that effect I suggest going with a bigger lensed camera. Price is good! Camera is okay!

This is an incredible camera. I am a beginner, and it basically does all the work for you. Battery life lasts about one week of intense daily use (like vacation). Lots of settings, very very easy to use and the quality is amazing.You won't be disappointed!
