D-EJ100 Silver CD Walkman

I bought this from Amazon (B00019MLCK) to replace the American version, which expired apparently because it didn't like being played in the toast-rack position. Maybe, maybe not. If you listen to CDs something like this is probably your best bet, particularly if you review them for Amazon, for its ease of scrolling etc. operation, apart from the clarity of sound commented on by another user. I still use the over-the-top-and-in earphones from the American predecessor, as they are superior to the ones supplied. However, there is a caveat. I suspect that Brussels has intervened somewhere, as the signal output is lower than the American model. It is not high enough to keep out the ambient noise in an aircraft cabin. If you are lying in bed counting sheep, however, it is OK, provided nobody is snoring. Maybe with a head-set this problem can be eliminated, but that negates the travellin' light attraction of the CD player in the first place, apart from the fact that a head-set makes you look like an obsessive, and you can't hear when a cup of tea is being made. As the model is no longer available, you should use these criteria to test the other candidates. Otherwise, your best alternative is to find the American version if you can. CD manufacturers should get together to fix this situation anyway, as it impinges eventually on their own products.

Excellent, new condition. Described as having scratch on front cover, however, very difficult to find the scratch. Sound quality is amazing. It's just so good to play my CDs on the move again with the bonus of a quality player. First class seller. Very smooth transaction. Highly recommend.

Sturdy Walkman with a good sound.

Not quite the sound quality I'd expect from Sony Walkmans of the 1980s

Use for audio books, has a resume feature which for me was essential. Controls a bit fiddly till you get used to them. Love it!
