Great 1/4" magnetic sockets!
I got these little 1/4" magnetic sockets because I routinely find myself using 1/4" sockets with a locking extension in places that I would REALLY like to not drop a bolt (like down a cylinder head). So, I decided to add some magnetic sockets to my collection. I have had great experience with other Grey Pneumatic sockets, so decided to continue with the brand and am glad I did. These sockets come with a decent blow molded case, which I was quick to toss aside as I prefer socket rails. The sockets are Cr-Mo, so they should be able to handle the abuse that they will more than likely get. With that abuse, it's expected that any laser etched sizes or printed on sizes will quickly wear off. So, it was nice to see that these also had the socket sizes stamped into them. This will surely help me in the many years to come when all the writing has worn off.The magnets themselves hold bolts very well. I suspect they are Neodymium by the way they look and hold. They are secured in the socket very well and have no issues there. A word of caution: Be sure not to use these on bolts/nuts that you have heated up red hot with a torch to break rust, as the heat will make the magnets not hold much any more. At least that has been my experience with other magnetic sockets. The sockets are fairly shallow and sometimes leave half of the bolt head still exposed. Would be nice if the magnets could be slightly deeper into the socket so I can confidently put full force into the ratchet on really stubborn bolts. So far, this hasn't been much of an issue as these magnetic sockets are only used in areas where i'm trying my best to not drop a bolt in a deep dark hole.Overall, I would highly recommend these for anyone that has had to live with the frustration of dropping small bolts in really hard to recover areas.

Professional quality
I'm a professional technician and like these better than the snap on.

Recommended - An excellent set for tight spots
This is a great little socket set that is useful in tight spots. The only real downside (as was mentioned before) is how shallow they are. It's hard to say if the sockets themselves were actually manufactured for this product, or if they were just selected and magnets were put in after the fact. The fact that Grey Pneumatic sells the same sockets without magnets as well, I'd tend to believe the latter is the case. They just dropped magnets into a socket set they already had without redesign. This means that the sockets ended up being very shallow (3-5.5mm). This will limit the torque that can be applied and easily round off the tops of bolts if too much torque is used. The fact that the word "Impact" is used in their description is laughable. Even if the socket will take an impact wrench you'd quickly destroy the magnet. Magnets don't like to be impact shocked. Doing so causes them to lose their magnetic properties. Neodymium is extremely brittle anyway. The above said, the magnets in these are secured well and are very strong. They are only 1/4" drive so the torque applied with them would be limited anyway. The sockets themselves seem to be manufactured well. The neodymium magnets are nickle coated and pressed in to keep them in place. These will be an excellent addition to any tool set to assist with starting a bolt, or backing it off the last couple threads without dropping it. The bigger ones will also attach to an extension and double as a retrieval tool nicely.

Great little set
Well first off lets get what i dont like out of the way. I wish they were a tad deeper or that the magnet was spring loaded and went deeper. But overall this is a great set for the money. I use it primarily on interior dash work for those hard to access nuts and bolts. The blow molded case is a nice little holder for the top of a tool cart or toolbox. I have used them with a small 1/4 impact and they hold up well. The magnets are fairly strong nothing super crazy

High quality
There so many good things I have to say about these sockets. I was blown away after 3 years of daily use, these sockets have kept up good in the 3years I have used them. The magnets on these are high quality and are still stong compared to what they where brand new. I would buy theses over any tool truck brand like snap on, Matco, Mac, Cornwell. Price wise there is nothing that comes close to these sockets similar items on tool tucks are around 30 dollars per socket. I’m going to have to see what else this company has for sale since these sockets where spot on.

Great addition.
Had to replace a starter in a Toyota Tundra complete pain in the ass job. Got this set to prevent dropping bolts into engine. They were even more help getting the starter bolts out and back inn.

Great set of sockets
These are a really nice set of sockets. They helped me get my water pump off without dropping ANY bolts, a new record!Pros:-Impact grade, strong-1/4" drive for tight spaces-Case is actually useful and has an actual rotating hind as opposed to those "flaps"-Magnet is very strong and grips and finds blind bolts with ease-Rounded edge to put the load on the body of the bolt and not the tips-Painted(white) AND stamped size label so if the paint wears off, it's still stamped. Super easy to see.Cons:-None (I'll update if i find any)

works great, could be tweaked a bit but functional.
the sockets themselves arent as slim as I'd hoped, but they do work great and seem real sturdy. one thing I dont like is the magnet in them doesnt move to far I know it's a shallow socket but there could be a bit more wiggle room. but all in all it works as advertised and is a good tool for the price
