Astounding zoom in the pocket.
Not cheap but well worth it. A fantastic little camera that does almost everything the larger cameras do. Easy to slip into a pocket and with tilt screen for convenience. The lens is automatically protected when not in use. One slight point of note - the optical zoom capability is brilliant (x40) but at anything much over this (80 to 160 times digital zoom) you will need a tripod as holding the camera steady enough is almost impossible. That said, the sort of zoom this little camera is capable of is frankly astounding!

Useless!!!!!
I received the camera today WITHOUT the cable and no instruction manual. No way to charge the battery. I received a 3 pin plug without a cable. Was not expecting this!

Arrived in perfect condition. I have been looking for this camera for a while and was pleased to find it at a non inflated price as can sometimes happen when is discontinued.

Canon SX740 - prepare for different procedure to transfer .jpg's from SD card!
Instructions with the camera unsatisfactory, need to Download full manual from the Canon website. Also one cannot just transfer the photos taken as .jpg's by transferring them from the SD Card. A more sophisticated procedure is required.
