Brand New World Short Walking Rope, 68 in, 6 Children

I was not aware that the handles are aligned for a double row. At first, I was not happy because I needed my class to walk single file. I still need them to walk single file, but this walking rope has been a huge benefit for my class. I have 14 kids in my class and each child is able to hold onto the rope. My line leader and my caboose each hold onto the hoops at the ends of the rope; then my other 12 kids are able to have their own handle. I would still love for them to be able to go single file, but we have adjusted well. I Bring it home weekly to wash it and it washes nicely. I do not put it in the dryer. It is mostly dry from the spin cycle in the wash. I hang it on the door and when I go back to school, it is ready to go with me.

I used a much larger version of this as a teacher for field trips and walks. I was so excited to find this smaller version. I have 3 kids under 7 and often take nieces, nephews, ect out with us on trips. We have used this with kids aged 2-7 with no issues. There just aren't always enough hands for everyone to hold. I have the shorter version of this rope and use it 2 different ways: When walking with 3-4 kids you can fold the rope in half so 1-2 kids hold the middle and the other two each hold their own color. I like using it like this in tighter spaces. With more kids or more space I use it regularly with 1-2 kids holding each color and another holding the parent end. The kids easily grasp the concept and makes outings safer as it keeps everyone together. I do a review EVERY TIME we are going out with it, explaining that we each hold our color, who gets what color, ect. Then if anyone let's go I immediately remind them to hold their color, it really just takes an occasional reminder for the 2 year old. I am really glad I got this, it has made outings much more enjoyable for everyone!

I bought one of these for my small family daycare. We use it for walks around the neighborhood, and to pick up my son at school. We get lots of attention when we are out and the kids enjoy getting to walk on their own. It is a good size, but when I am only walking with three I stagger them right, left, right, so each has just a bit more space. I have even used it in conjunction with our wagon. I was with three kids and everyone wanted to walk. So I put one of the front loops on the wagon handle and the back two thru the slats on the wagon. Everyone had a loop but had to stay close to the wagon. We were a cute parade in the store that day. Great for 3 to 6 kids, but you can get two and join them for up to 12 kids.

I brought this walking rope for my Sunday School class and it has been a lifesaver! Getting a group of two, three, and four years old to walk in a straight line without tripping over each other or someone getting out of line is nearly impossible, as I have discovered, the hard way. This rope has literally solved all of my problems! The kids love the bright colors and getting to choose which color handle to hold onto. They get so excited when we use this rope and they don't let go of the handle until I tell them to. In fact, sometimes, I have a hard time getting them to let go. It's absolutely great!! I really recommend this to anyone is looking for a walking rope for young children

This walking rope works very well for our child care center. We have several and use them all of the time. Some of our children need practice remembering to hold on to the rope as they walk and learning to stay behind the person that is in front of them. So we practice walking with the ropes inside our building when a classroom goes out to the playground or to the indoor gym. We use the walking ropes with our toddlers (1yr.) all the way up to our school age children (6-12 yrs). The nice thing about these ropes are that they are durable, washable, and you can add length to them just by using the velcro loop to connect another walking rope. Our teachers love them.

I purchased this product because I have three kids under two years old. The preschool we go to uses this for their walks. The kids got used to it pretty quickly going from the house to the car. Unfortunately, didn't work so well at the zoo, but we will try again. I wish the handles could snap around the kids wrists, but I would purchase this again anyway.

I have washed this in the machine once a week throughout last school year and only one loop came off. We are using it again and hopefully it will last this school year.

Bought these to go to a local fair with our preschool and kindergartners. It worked like a charm, these are great because there are loops on both sides so we used the buddy system and they held their favorite color loops.
