Excellent read
I bought this novel because we are reading it in our French group and found it easy to read, I guessed that the three diverse characters in the novel would somehow impact on each other's lives in the way that they did. Altogether highly original and eminently readable

Good book to practice French
I liked the book, although I found Sarah's chapters incredibly annoying. The style of writing is so repetitive! My favourite was Samita and Giulia was OK. Bought it mainly to practice my French. The language is simple and the grammatical construction very straight forward. You won't find great metaphors here.

A wonderful book.
This is one of the most poignant and, ultimately, optimistic books that I have read. The author weaves the stories of the three women with great skill and insight into their lives, bringing them together although they never meet.

Read , " La Tresse " not to be missed!
Enjoy reading in French. This book was beautifully written, the story of the three women in different countries. Each one trying to find a solution to their personal problem set in a social context and culrure.

Inhabituel
Trois vies de femmes fortes, aux antipodes les unes des autres mais enchevêtrées et réunies comme une tresse par le destin.

Fantastic
What a beautiful story, unique, authentic and moving. Three women trapped in their lives and living thousands of miles apart. What they share is a will to survive. A truly empowering story.
