Far cheaper than buying 3
In my effort to move more and combat the fibro pains, I decided to invest in a kettlebell to help me out. But I did not know what size I would be capable of using with my condition and lack of exercise, and definitely didn't want to store multiple weights and sizes around the house. I loved the idea of this snap and lock design and how I could remove weight from it and figure out what worked best for me. I am able to pick it up (it is only 12lbs total) and can easily do swings with it, but have been using it with one weight removed so that it is only 8lbs for now while I try to condition myself a bit more and build up some strength. I do have a hard time sometimes with the little clips - pushing them own to release while trying to twist off the weights - but have figured out the best way to do it myseslf so I don't need help. I put it on the floor between my feet, press the clip down on the side with one hand while gripping the base with my feet and twist with my other hand from the top. Sometimes it doesn't unlock instantly and it takes a few tries, and sometimes when I am putting them back together I can't get it lined up correctly, but I always seem to figure it out after a bit. For that reason I didn't give it the full 5 stars. I would also like to see the ability to add on more weight or different amounts than what it comes with, but for what I need, it is working perfectly. A great investment for my home.

Removing weights is impossible.
I ordered my first set and thought it was just defective, so after calling the company for help, I returned it and ordered a new one. Same issue, exactly, so this one is going back today. What a disappointment! The small spring clip either won't stay down once pushed (so you have 1 hand pushing down VERY hard constantly while having only 1 hand left to maneuver the turning of the rest of the device, which doesn't work) OR if it does clip down and stay, and if the round weight does rotate a bit counterclockwise, it sticks there and does not drop off the handle part. I tried for 10 minutes straight, including wedging the unit between my feet (with rubber soled shoes) to try to lock it in while holding, turning, etc. I give up. This one is going back too. Very disappointed.

Not "adjustable" in the slightest
"Adjustable" isn't accurate for this product. The weight plates are SUPER easy to add, but an absolute nightmare to take off. The springs are so stiff that you can't push them down and twist at the same time, and I actually tore the rubber cover of the spring within an hour of opening the product because I had to use so much force to try to push the spring down. You have to commit to using whatever weight is on it because once you've added a plate, you can't get it back off. If you're truly looking for something adjustable, look elsewhere. I'm supremely disappointed in this product.

Weights can be hard to remove.
I basically like the kettlebell set which I purchased primarily for myself and I am a 76 year old male. Another person gave this a 1 star review which I had read but purchased anyway. That review said removing the weights is difficult. That review was correct as taking off the bottom weight is pure HELL! I even read the directions and there method doesn't work. I had to cradle the set in my lap and press the spring lever and somehow twist the bottom weight to get it off. Taking off the top weight which is the 5# handle is not difficult but that bottom weight is, once again, pure HELL!

What I like best about Gin Miller's workout cd's is that they ...
I first started out with a kettlebell when I purchased a Danskin Now Kettlebell and it included a free Gin Miller workout cd. I used it for several years and then purchased the Empower 3-in-1 Kettebell with Swing Yourself Fit DVD. What I like best about Gin Miller's workout cd's is that they are fun and easy to use. Because of the variety of exercises I never get bored. I can use any combination of workout segments to customize my workout for the day. Because of my age, my concerns are maintaining muscle mass which begins to deteriorate after age 40, strengthen leg muscles to maintain healthy knees and to keep my heart healthy. I need an exercise routine that will keep me exercising for life, and this one is it! The adjustable kettlebell works great but sometimes is hard to transition with between exercises. I usually keep my other 8lb kettlebell alongside so I don't have to change it. This is a fast moving workout. I would highly recommend her first cd as a prerequisite!

If you buy ore than one
Ordered 2, one for each hand. First one was easy to change the weights, so that was good. Second one did not come with insert containing instructions, and I think someone used it in a pool, because there is water moving around all 3 weights on that one. Also EXTREMELY difficult to change out the weights on the second one. Still going to give it a try.

Fine. Gets the job done
Fine. Gets the job done. I prefer Rocketlok, but since they don't make Kettlebells lower than 14 lbs., this is a good extra for those exercises where you need to get a little lighter. Another reviewer mentioned the change in weights creates a change in shape which affect performance. I agree that making the weight lighter affects the shape which messes with the center of gravity but at 5 lbs. and 10 lbs., I don't think that it's too big of a deal. If you want to go heavier that would be an issue but then you can just get a RockLock one for a more pure kettlebell shape.

because two kettlebells are far more useful than one
I already own one of these, so this is my second. I bought the first at TJ Maxx but had to buy a second one, because two kettlebells are far more useful than one! This kind also works for me because I live by the coast and plastic doesn't rust - I was concerned that if I bought an iron kettle bell, that spot rust would be a problem.

i really like it but..
This is great having three weights in one! It stacks up nicely so you don't have extra clutter. Great for beginners who don't know until they use them what the comfortable weight will be. The only thing I don't like about it is, I have long fingernails and I can't get the peices apart easily.

A good option only if you don't wanna change weights
This is a good option... If you never want to switch weights. I only use this thing at the full weight because changing the weights is annoying and confusing. Maybe its just me, but something like this should have easier movements for the weights so I don't have to spend 20 minutes pulling it apart. But just as a 12 lb kettle bell, its definitely not bad. It's pretty comfortable to grip onto and has a big enough handle so that you don't squish your knuckles when doing swings.

Easy to adjust
I found the kettle easy to adjust to the various weigh amounts. However, it is limited in how I use it at the maximum weigh because it is a little bulky. I am using it for various therapy exercises and I have not tried the exercises that come with the kettleball at this time..

Easy to use!
After reading some reviews about it being difficult to change the weight I nearly overlooked this item. I'm so glad I didn't! I love the ability to easily swap between the 3 different weights. It's not difficult at all. Simply depress the little lever, lift up slightly on the handle and rotate counter-clockwise. So easy. Don't let other reviews about difficulty removing weight deter you!
