Capacious and an effective iinsulator
I've owned a previous model of this bag, which held up well for some seven years, and am replacing it now for two reasons: one corner of the bag got damaged and is starting to unravel (not sure how that happened); and over many years smells from spills tend to build up and although the lining is sturdy and resilient I'm reluctant to subject it to the abrasive methods I'd use to clean it more thoroughly. The new bag is a bit different - not necessarily better or worse. It's more capacious (wider), but also bulkier to carry, especially slung over one's shoulder the way I prefer. Also, the gratuitous velcro has been removed, which as far as I'm concerned is a good thing since it tended to stick to my car's carpets. Finally, although I don't have a big problem with the color and design, I'm sure that they would sell a lot more bags (at least at Amazon) if they created a wider variety of looks.Overall, though, I'm very pleased with the quality and design of this product and at the price consider it money very well spent.

Nice size but poor insulation in very hot weather.
The interior foil surface gets hot to the touch even with ice packs, in a hot car trunk with ice packs. Have used many kinds of these bags over the years and these are best for non cold items which you don't want in a 130 degree trunk.

Great thermal tote
I live in Florida. Some years ago I purchased a thermal tote at SAM's club, and it held up for a good 17 years until a seam along the outside of the zipper ripped. Functionally the rest of it still works so I intend to repair it. I decided after the tear that I would purchase a new thermal tote. I ordered a couple from Amazon, found them lacking, and returned them. Frustrated at not being able to find a good tote I examined my old tote for a manufacturers tag, and discovered it was made by California Innovations. So I ordered one from Amazon. It is essentially the same design as my old SAM's club tote, not quite as sturdily built, but otherwise it's virtually the same. I don't know if it's going to last as long as my last one but it's by far still the best design I've come across.

Large size
Held more than I thought it would. Best if you do add a ice pack of some kind but did not do to bad the time I used it without.

Their return policy
I returned the Tote bag because the zipper was not right but they still charged me a restocking fee. I don't think that's right.

Great Insulated Bag
This is my 2nd California Concepts insulated tote. The first one lasted about 10 years until part of the zipper broke. It looked like new with weekly use. I bought this larger version to transport frozen/refrigerated groceries. The bag works great, keeping food cold for hours ( I haven't tested it for the 2 days advertised). After I bought this new bag I contacted California Concepts about the lifetime warranty on the first bag. I wanted to get the zipper repaired. They sent me a brand new replacement! Hard to believe in today's business environment. Great product & great company!

Love it
I own a smaller one and have used it for years. The handles finally deteriorated and I was forced to buy a new one. Love the bigger size, color etc... still a great insulated bag.

NOT California Innovations Tote.
I received a tote that looked like the one in the picture but it was not a California Innovations, but a more cheaply made imitation. The brand was Arcticzone, Articzone.com. In the fine print on the back of the hang tag it says "designed and distributed by California Innovations. I don't consider this to be a California Innovations product anymore than Busch beer is Michelob even thought they come from the same parent company. It's Articzone. The seller needs to own the fact that, while California Innovations designed it they didn't put their brand on it. It seems to be an OK tote, but it isn't the same as my California Innovations tote that I have had for some time.
