Nothing like the original games. Too mainstream only focused on graphics.
The graphics are great. Same as everyone says. The upside stops there.Reward cars are given each day you log in and do a few miles. While it was a graft on older games it felt like cars were earned. If you play every day then you'll have all the too cars in no time, no matter how good you are.You get cars for completing licences and other mission type tasks. Again much easier than the original games, so takes the whole challenge out of it.You can't see your progress on events at a snapshot, like seeing your trophies on the main screen. You need to go into each one individually to see if you've completed all the races, which seems a huge waste. The sport mode is basically built on not crashing. Hardly the same amount of fun to run clean laps for the whole race. You can't buy second hand cars. Instead the choice is very poor, with new cars added periodically. Expect around half a dozen cars per brand. All the idea of updating your car body and paint is gone and in its place is a ridiculously detailed option to put multiple decals on the car, so the customisation has gone too far, in place of a larger choice of cars.To complete progress you have to create photos of your car and like photos of other people's (1000 of them!). This is a completely pointless exercise as you just end up liking any picture so you can do it as quickly as possible, so say goodbye to a couple of hours of your life.Really disappointed this isn't what the game once was. Even the car upgrades are limited, now earned by experience points using the car rather than credits (unless you want to part with your hard earned cash and cheat your way straight to the best cars), so forget about upgrading a second hand Evo to compete in too events.I used to love building a couple of great cars over time that could compete in most races, but as long as you log in every day, or spend extra cash, then this game is as easy as they come, so became bored very quickly.

Game came in all original casing but disc did have a noticeable deep scratch on it, yet so far so good.
