Not the best knife I own, but the best knife I own under $10
This is a surprisingly good quality knife for the price. It opens easy, feels right in your hand and holds up well. I use this knife at work and it has been doing the job well for about a year. This is one of my favorites and is certainly the cheapest knife in that category.

Solid knife
Feels great in your hand. Blade releases very smooth and folds down just the same. Great product, exceeded my expectations

2.5 stars for quality + 1 star for cheap price = 3.5 stars: good looking, low quality, inexpensive knife for light-duty use
Are you looking for a folding pocket knife on Amazon with a wood handle, spring-assist blade, and a price cheaper than $9? Two knives in that category that I own are this Mtech knife and the TAC Force TF-469. TAC Force TF-469 Gentleman's Assisted Opening Folding Knife, Black Straight Edge Blade, Brown Pakkawood Handle, 4-Inch ClosedThe 2 knives have similar budget build quality. Low-grade stainless steel blade is designed for light-duty use (cutting cardboard and rope, very light woodwork, etc). Under heavy use, this type of steel dulls quickly and is difficult to sharpen. The Mtech knife if about 1/8 inch longer. More importantly, the blade is about 1/8 wider. That makes the blade noticeably heavier, but the handle is also thicker and heavier to give it a good overall balance. The Mtech knife is heavier than the TAC Force (6 ounces vs 5.8 ounces).Which knife should you buy? Again, both knives are for designed for light duty use only, so they have essentially the same functionality. The Mtech knife is bigger and heavier making it look and feel more impressive, but the TAC Force is lighter weight and more comfortable to carry, so that is the one in my pocket most of the time.2.5 stars for quality + 1 star for cheap price = 3.5 stars

It's only a little bulky
The blade isn't too small or big, and it's comes sharp. I always clip my knife onto the front of my waist, and although I can feel it when I'm seated, it is overall comfortable; not an annoyance at all. I got this quality knife for under $10, and that is well worth it.

Assisted opening is not 100 percent reliable
It's amazing to see all these assisted-opening knives for under ten dollars. (They're all made in China, of course.) Within its class, this one is good-looking but heavy. Two good features are the wide, sturdy-looking blade and the recurve design of the edge, which is unusual in an inexpensive knife. The best feature, for me, is that it's a tip-up design, with all its competitors being tip-down designs. (I.e., the pocket clip is mounted at the butt of the knife, so that when it's clipped inside your pocket, the tip points up; that's the design I'm used to.) My problem here is that, compared with the four similar knives that I have, the flipper-operated opening assist is unreliable; that is, the spring isn't strong enough to throw the blade into the open-and-locked position with every stroke of the flipper. It usually works, but you can't count on it 100 percent of the time when you quickly hit the flipper. (I'll see if I can loosen the screws a bit to see if that will fix it.) NOTE: Amazon says "THIS ITEM ISN'T ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN."

Great look and feel for a compact assisted opening knife.
I collect knives, half of which are folding knives with assisted opening. Most of these are high tech knives which I have been carrying for years. This knife is what I call a 'throw back' folding and assisted opening knife that I now carry. I love the natural carved wood side panels. It has a slightly dropped point with a traditional looking blade. It is more compact than most high tech knives and I love it for a daily carry knife. You will not be disappointed with this knife for a daily carry knife.

Lovely work knife, stylish
I like this knife. I see a lot of bad reviews but it's a more affordable knife.....c'mon guys. I use at work and when the laborers and carpenters saw it they all complimented the appearance for it's pretty wood handle and fast opening speed. It's a very good knife especially if your just gonna beat the snot out of it so take it easy all you bougie types it's not for your grand mantle
