I have not used it yet but, it is solid and heavy so it will work on my gardening shears.

It's a whetstone. It sharpens blades. It's cheap and large enough for anything I can think of. It's around 3.5" wide, 7.5" long, 3/4" thick. I honestly wonder what people are doing who say "it's small" lol. All I wanted was a whetstone to sharpen my EDC knives, which doesn't need to be done all that often, and I wasn't trying to spend a large amount of money just for that. This item delivers at a low cost.

Love this whetstone! As a professional Chef, i need to keep my knives extremely sharp at all times.Once a month, I soak this stone in water for at least 15 minutes. Then I can easily put a fine edge on about any blade, and quickly!Only point subtracted is for the fact that it does wear a bit fast as mine has a fair sized dip after less used than i predicted.Overall this stone at 1000 for is great, even if the only one in your arsenal. I use it so often it has become essential. I can give this a easy recommend! Safe Sharpening Everyone!
