I got this barrier to block off my unfinished side yard that's essentially a long strip of mud whenever it rains. The assembly was very easy, and stores away compactly when not in use. It's heavy and solid and and seems to be of good quality. I really like how the barrier is hinged in the middle so half can swing open like a gate, or it can go around a (small) corner.The only downside is that it doesn't keep my smallest dog out - when the gate is extended, he can squeeze under it, so I have to attach something to the bottom to discourage him.

Having grown up in a construction family and then working in commercial construction for many years I can see how useful this barrier would be. I’m retired and don’t contract any more but I’m constantly doing personal projects. We have five horses and seven dogs. When I work in the barn there are times when I need to close off sections from the horses and when I work in the house I need to keep the nosey dogs out. They seem to enjoy helping. Only problem is their idea of help isn’t actually very helpful.This portable barrier is very solidly made. It works exactly as you’d expect it to. It comes with mounting hardware that allows permanent installation. The wheels can be locked in place but the locks can be really hard to release. It can be portable as well. I like it and if asked I’d recommend it BUT there are a couple of improvements I’d suggest. First is the two bolt connection between the two sections. I’d pull the two bolts and use a through rod. Next is the individual latch that locks each section in the collapsed position. They work fine but the latching slot needs to be slightly larger. Next, transporting the barrier is much easier if you separate the two sections but one section only has wheels on one end. That makes it difficult to handle that section. Ideally you could latch the sections closed, slip the connecting rod out, roll the sections in place, lock the wheels, and secure both sections in place. As it is to separate the sections you have to remove two small nuts and bolts. Then moving one section is easy but the other is very frustrating. I do like this unit. It is well made. If you want to bolt this barrier in place it’s good to go but if you intend to move it around then I’d look for other options before buying this one. If you can’t find a better option this one will work for me, I’m going to ditch the bolts and use a rod. I’m going to attempt to add wheels also.My rating system:5 stars..... I bought this gate to separate parts of my backyard for my two doodle disaster pups that are digging to China all over the place. This being temporary until I put grass in place of the decorative rock. I was so excited about this and couldn’t put it together fast enough when it arrived. Then I opened it up and realized that the further you stretch it out the bigger and bigger and bigger the spaces between the bars get making it completely useless LOL I knew this wasn’t all she wrote though and I was determined to win this war LOL So want to know what I did? I got a small roll of chicken wire and zippy tied it onto the gate and BOOM, problem solved and works like a charm. Mama ~1 Doodle Devils ~ 0 It still even is able to be folded back up because the chicken wire is stretchy. I love it. My Doodles are bored, but OH WELL!!!

Arrives partially assembled, needs 2 screws to connect the two halves and six to attach the wheels. A small wrench is included, but the wrench itself stripped immediately, so I used my own wrench. An additional screw and bolt is included if you want to bolt one end down to the floor.Wheels are clearly intended for indoor, flat use. Nothing would prevent you from placing it in grass or outdoors, but I would not drag the wheels around on grass or dirt.It does not curve or arc at all like you might expect it to, but can bend at the midpoint if the screws aren't screwed as tightly as possible.Surprisingly large, and strong. I was expecting it to be a little rough in quality but for the price the value is very good. Feels like industrial equipment and will be very useful for sectioning off areas I am working.

Overall it was easy to assemble but I did need to use actual hand tools to get the hardware snug enough to be functional. The wheels are able to be completely locked from rolling or swiveling which is nice. The weight is not too heavy and the size when folded up is reasonable as well. Could be built just a little better for the price, but overall serves it purpose and has a nice total length when extended completely. I use it primarily to help keep our 4 large breed dogs out of the garage when the door is open and they are outside. Overall though if you have enough need to justify buying one, it could be worth the cost. Despite my feelings of thinking it should be just a little cheaper due to the quality.I will add pictures/video at a later date and update my review as to how it holds up from future use.

I picked this up for just under $100 and to be fair, it is VERY difficult to find heavy-duty gates to keep out/in pups or kids for a much better price - and this one will NOT fall over. Extremely easy to setup. Yes, it has some gap space, but if you have bigger dogs/puppies or toddlers, this is a great alternative which you can keep and use for years for different needs. Use outside for neighborhood events and parties - whatever! You'll be the cool one who has a tool like this on hand.Extremely easy to use and store, HEAVY DUTY. Easily rolls on casters which lock into place. For listed price less than $100, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
