Bioforce Revolution 6.000

Operated for a week or so now and can confirm its build quality, effectiveness and easy to clean operation. I placed a uv ahead of the revolution for a double dose. I also had two t’d Bioforce 9000’s previously which were good too, however required weekly dismantling to clean sponges. I have since recycled them as a second stage bio filter, packing them full of alfagrog and running the output of the revolution into them. I also placed some cotton pads on the alfragrog to assess the cleanliness of water input and it is pretty clean, along with screwing a 4” drainpipe into the 9000 cores so that the grog stays out of the way of the uv housings. Water quality is improving continuously as the bac increases, so am very pleased with the configuration. In use on a 32000 litre heavily planted pond koi (14 koi between 12” and 30”), also a large shoal of golden Rudd, and of course several goldfish. Crystal clear and excellent water parameters now, koi very healthy.

Replaced old model 9000 that required a manual clean that was dirty and time consuming. The new version is so easy to use. Over the years the pond water had become green soup, within 2 weeks water was clear of green and within 4 weeks almost crystal clear. Now after over a year in use I would say my initial comments did not go far enough, this is an outstanding piece of kit, the pond has never been as clean in the 8 years I have had the pond. So easy to clean with no maintenance whatsoever up to now. Would highly recommend it as a first choice filter.

Delivered from Aquacadabra in under 24 hrs. Top marks for that. Was easy to install as I already used a hozelock filter and the pipe connectors are the same. Only had to wire it to the switch box and sink it into the ground to about half way up it. The filter is a bit on the tall side and I felt that it would be more stable by doing this. Having just cleared a bad problem of string algae the pond was filthy, but once the pump was turned on the filter cleared it in a couple of hours. After 3 days running the water is now crystal clear and I have just cleaned the filter which took just a few minutes. Overall this is a really good bit of kit

Update This filter is still going well a quick flush out at first and now Autumn has set in I haven't flushed it out for a long time and the pond is still crystal clear. Great purchase, wish I had bought it a long time ago. I bought this to replace an older pressure filter for my koi pond. It's been fitted a week a quick flush out clean 3 times as my pond wasn't clear to start with and since then a clear, clean pond better than I have seen it. A great product, does the job, easy to quick clean the filter and spares readily available if needed (hope not) . Since fitting this filter my pond is looking great I can see my Koi when they are at the bottom of 2m of water, a doddle to clean the filter out and I am pleased I fitted it best £'s spent on the pond for a long time.

My husband is very impressed with this, having said that we have only just installed it so time will tell if stands up to what it meant to do.

One of the best pond filters on the market.

This is a good product but has one serious defect. The handle is made of plastic and I find (having owned four of these Hozelock Bioforce Revolution 14000 UV filter combo's) that every spring the handle snaps off at its connection to the main body because the plastic has degraded. There is no-way to fix this due to the design which leaves the tip of the handle connection pin in the crank that spins the filter mechanism and the only solution is to buy another at £400. This feels like a complete con. My impression is that the frost damages this plastic but I think the handle attachment is a weak point and could be improved by design quite easily so that a new handle connection pin could be replaced. The current design prevents this. You are left feeling conned bye Hozelock.

Keeps my pond water Crystal clear & a lot less fuss cleaning. I got fed up with having to pull the mucky foams out of my old filter & scrub them clean ever few weeks. with this a I have to do now is turn off the pump,, turn the valve (which is very stiff) crank the handle a few turns in both directions & switch the pump back on & water the plants around the pond until the water comes through clear, then turn the valve back to get the filter returning back to the pond. All this only takes a couple ov mins, instead of about half an hour & getting very mucky with the old filter.

Aufgrund der sehr guten Erfahrungen mit dem Hozelock Bioforce Revolution 28000 an unserem Teich seit 3 Jahren haben wir uns für den neuen sehr großen Teich 32m³ mit Koi entschieden für einen zusätzlichen zweiten Hozelock Bioforce Revolution 28000 anstatt einem anderen Filter für große Teiche. Die Entscheidung war richtig !!! Klares Wasser und viel Freude am Teich durch die beiden Hozelock Bioforce Revolution 28000. Jederzeit wieder.

Nach 14 Tagen war der Teich klar , habe eine leistungsstarke Pumpe von Jebao XTP10000 10,000 l/h kombiniert und der Koi Teich mit geringen Besatz ( 5 große und 5 kleinere) von ca. 15.000 Liter ist dauerhaft klar. Vergesst alle Chemie und Mittelchen das A und O ist ein wirkungsvoller Filter mit kraftvoller Pumpe

Wir wollten das alte Modell austauschen. um weniger Arbeit mit dem Saubermachen zu haben. Hat geklappt, aber man muss das dann so alle 4 Tage machen.

Leider ist jetzt nach 2 1/2 Jahren die Drehkurbel abgebrochen!!! Einen Ersatz scheint es im Zubehör nicht zu geben. Schade!!!
