JUST ADD MEAT & RICE.
If you use quality added ingredients (seafood, chicken, rice, etc) in this base, it results in gumbo as good or better than most Cajun restaurant. Since WalMart quit handling this product it has become VERY PRICEY.

Very very close to the real thing.
Really a very good product. Not quite 100% authentic but as close as you are going to get without a trip to the Big Easy. Overall a very good product that I have already reordered. Good job!

An easy Cajun Gumbo
A very good base for making Gumbo quickly. I often add sauteed green pepper, celery, and onion which makes it thicker and better. Always I used Paul Prudhomme seasoning for seafood, poultry or meat, and use his vegetable seasoning. It all makes an excellent Gumbo. All of my critics of Cajun cooking love this.
