I really like the thickness
When you see the words heavy duty when it comes to picks, that usually means thick. Thankfully, these are heavy duty but not too thick - they're a very good quality pick - which is probably why Joe Satriani put his name on them. :DThey also have a grip on them so the picks don't slip out of your hands. They're easy to hold as opposed to smooth (normal) ones. These are kind of expensive but I'm sure it's because of all the bells and whistles, plus it having Joe Satriani''s name on them. I've never seen their equal and I recommend them highly!

Heavy duty, great textured feel
I’ve been a long-time fan of Joe Satriani’s guitar work for years as I’ve been learning to play the guitar myself. When I discovered that he had his own line of guitar picks, I was eager to try them out. What I particularly like about these guitar picks is the J and S logo, which adds a unique texture to the pick that makes it less prone to slipping. These guitar picks are definitely on the heavier side. They’re very thick and don’t bend at all. They feel great in my hand while playing, and thanks to the texture on the pick, I don’t have to worry about them slipping around while I’m playing. They are a bit pricey, currently selling for $20 for a five-pack, but considering their sturdy construction, I believe they’ll last a long time.

Extremely thick, phenomenal grip
These picks are pretty great, if you're fond of something super thick. My one tiny critique is that the point (the part with which you're picking the strings) could be a tad sharper. It felt a tiny bit dull to me, though it still produces a great sound. Probably just my own OCD on the matter. But the grip is great, and as an acoustic player it's nice to have something substantial between your fingers, with which you can really invigorate the strumming dynamic when needed. I just really can't stand flimsy picks, and this is one of the thickest I've ever used. As one other reviewer noted, you might be paying a bit for the Satriani signature, but either way it's a good product.

Just as Described
My daughter prefers more substantial picks so I picked these up for her. They are definitely more expensive than most of the picks I've purchased for her over the years as she settled in on a type/style that she prefers. You're definitely paying for the branding here. That said, these are really nice picks. The anti-slip feature is really nice. Picks can sometimes get slippery in a sweaty hand. Overall, a high quality pick.

Great Picks, Pretty Pricey
These super heavy picks are a great add for a variety of playing styles. They've got a decent grooved grip that helped me hold on during short to moderate play sessions. The picks are standard size with very minimal flex, but rounded edges to help dial in precise picking. They are definitely on the more expensive side, but they offer exactly what they claim.

Very nice, very heavy celluloid pick. Great for flatpicking!
I've been beyond impressed with the quality of tone I'm getting from the Joe Satriani "Satch Grip" picks from D'Addario. They feel nice in the hand and have an excellent grip. The tone quality is wonderful, and I'm beyond impressed as these come off as simple celluloid picks at first. As someone who's used a 0.60mm flatpick as a primary pick thickness, going up to 1.25 is substantial, and I'm noticing a super richness when I strum or do hybrid picking/flat-picking on acoustic guitar. The tone is warm, rich, clear, and makes something like a dreadnaught acoustic sound HUGE. This pick is slightly larger than my nylon flatpick, but only marginally. I did notice that I struggled on faster tempo strumming, but that's more the operator than the picks. The classic sunburst celluloid is very appealing as well.Overall, these guitar picks are definitely high-end; they are an upgrade to my usual choice of celluloid flatpick. I can imagine I'll be using these for years to come. They are super durable, and I can tell from my many years playing guitar that this pack of picks will serve me a very long time. I'll lose 'em all before I'd actually wear one out. Cheers to D'Addario and Joe Satriani for collaborating and designing a top-of-the-line heavy flatpick. Highly recommended; I love 'em!

Solid electric guitar pick
These are surprisingly good. I'm a fan of the Hetfield White Fang picks. These Satriani Satch Grip picks are quite a bit heavier than those, and yet I still found them easy and comfortable. They're not quite as grippy as the White Fangs, but I think the grip is sufficient so long as you remain controlled and measured. All in all, I definitely plan to add these into my rotation for anything that needs a heavier pick.Minus one star for the grip being a little less aggressive than my usual picks, and also because I'm not a fan of the tortoise shell look. It's probably a petty deduction because I'm biased towards my White Fangs.

Shred like a Legend (or at least feel like it)!
I don’t know what kind of magic these picks are made of, but the moment I started using them, my fingers suddenly thought they were Joe Satriani’s. The thickness and feel? Perfect. The grip? Unshakable. The engraved initials of Joe himself? They must contain some sort of mystical shredding energy because I swear my solos got at least 69% faster. Before these picks, I was just a mere mortal struggling through pentatonic scales. Now, I’m bending strings so hard they’re considering filing a restraining order. If you want to feel like a guitar god (even if your amp is still set to “neighbor-friendly”), grab these picks and prepare to ascend.Five stars, would shred again.
