DYSMIO Lighting Socket for Medium Base 2-Inch Aluminum Threaded Socket Ring - 4 Pack

I needed to invert (pointing upward to pointing downward) a wall sconce to accommodate a grow lightbulb. The ring kept the shade from slipping down and resting on the bulb. It worked as I hoped...perfectly.

I needed new socket rings to replace the original (cheap!) ones after one of the globes crashed onto my table. The old rings had stretched to the point that all of them were about to release the glass shades. These new rings fit the medium-base sockets better than the original ones back when they were new. Although they look like plastic in the photo, they are a strong white aluminum, and the ones I received were GE brand. Note: Each pack contains 2 cards; each card contains 2 rings. So a pack contains FOUR rings.

Had a tough time finding rings tight enough to hold glass shades. I actually had rings loosen and glass shades smash on my counters, but not these. These are nice and tight and won't wiggle off. Don't bother with the rings sold at big DIY stores. If you need a tight fit, save the time, money and hassle and buy these instead!

My wife has been looking for replacements for more than 10 years for some cracked plastic socket rings. We bought some aluminum ones that just barely held up some cheap shades. Then bought heavier glass shades that aluminum ones wouldn't support so it became a quest. Contacted specialty lighting stores and did much research, bought and returned several orders. Saw these and THEY WORKED!

Provide a tighter, safer fit for the bathroom glass lamp shades. Much better than the original rings that were loose and did not keep the shades well secured.Will definitely buy again.

Decent product. Did the job replacing the cheap, flimsy OEM Aluminum shade rings. These are definitely higher quality than the OEM shade rings you will usually receive w/light fixtures.Color of the shade ring really didn't matter on my light fixture, but depending on the set-up of the glass shade on your fixture they may be visible; so color might be important. Only 4 stars because shipping was s-u-p-e-r s-l-o-w and you can find them cheaper at one of the bog box retailers that has "Depot" in the name. That being said, if you need them in a pinch & you can't find them locally, or don't want to hunt them down these will do the job.

How can I say thank you so much for these replacements. My light rings got thrown away on accident and I couldn't install my bathroom light fixtures. Until I found your rings.Thank you.

Did not fit on the lamps I bought them for. Couldn't be bothered returning them.
