IT JUST FITS!
This case is very structurally sound and has an excellent weight, so it doesn't move around simply by the stiffness of the USB or HDMI cables. There is sufficient space to add an M.2 HAT. Cooling has been no issue as there is good ventilation. Assembly is straight forward with no major issues and the supplied components worked as needed for this installation. Perfect fit, other cases will not allow full seating of the cables. This one does.

Great case if you need a little more room over the board
If you are ok with a little taller case then this one is great. The heatsink and fan run perfect. I have purchased multiples.

Rugged and tall metal case
I like this case as it has plenty of ventilation and room for a Raspberry Pi 5 with the oem cooling fan and oem NVME hat. It can accommodate even larger hats than the NVME one. It is rugged, has the needed standoffs and screws to mount the pi. The build quality fit and finish are excellent. If you are looking for a Pi 5 case with a lot of headroom, this is the one for you.

Perfect Fit - Finally!
I bought this brand of case for my Pi 5 with a Geekworm X1001 PCIe to M.2 nVME Hat back in February 2025. That version came with the Pi 5 Active Cooler, and the ports did not line up. So I was a little skeptical to order it again but I got tired of looking at my Pi all out in the open... so for the price I decided to spin the wheel of fortune again. Luckily, the fit is perfect, all the ports align perfectly and it looks great! Perhaps better manufacturing controls, but whatever this one works.

Serious WiFi signal degradation
Nice sturdy case but it kills the WiFi signal. The pi works perfectly outside the case, but as soon as I put it in the case the WiFi signal drops dramatically. When I put the top on the case, I lose total signal almost immediately. Proximity to the AP is not an issue.

second review after changes and using.
2nd review After awhile using it. I originally perceived it was a general purpose case. It did not fit the minibase b I had ordered but after using the dremel too to remove the bottom part of the case. usbc, sd card and buttons were in wrong position. All the openings and buttons are now showing through small slit. I also had to remove edge piece where eth, hdmi and usb's connect. The hdmi is where ethernet shows and metal was holding hdmi off so it couldn't connect. I also used standoffs so nvme has plenty of space on bottom of case. Now everything working fine. Low power desktop. It was a generalized case. just not generallized enough for mini b cm5 case.

Sturdy Pi 5 case big enough for a hat.
I purchased this case when my previous case wasn't big enough to support the "hat" I was trying to attach to my Pi. However, even without a hat installed, I prefer this case because it is sturdy metal (my previous case was flimsy plastic) and this case lets you firmly screw your Pi to the case itself (and even lets you screw down its case lid). This makes your Pi and case much sturdier than some other options (which will be especially handy if/when I take my Pi with me on trips). However, since this case is made out of metal it has the potential to at least partially block the Pi's builtin WiFi. This wasn't an issue for me, because I don't use my Pis' WiFi (instead I give my Pis internet via the Pi's Ethernet jack). But since I don't use the WiFi built into my Pis, I also haven't tested how much (if any) this case interferes with those WiFi signals. So I can't tell you how much of a problem this would be for someone that does need the builtin Pi WiFi. Just be aware that WiFi interference is a potential problem of this metal case.

Decent metal case but no room for hats
Smaller than I thought (guess I didn’t read specs or none shown) but I can use for another of my RPis

Build quality is good, but instructions are confusing and all of the mounting hardware is conductive, They provide "anti-static" (insulating) washers but they can't be used because they raise the board above the port openings. Tiny black screws for the outside are magnetized making them very hard to install using the provided (magnetized) screwdriver. I ended up using some plastic mounting hardware I already had.
