I have a K&M stand and just replace the Gator Boom with this one. All K&M stuff I’ve experienced is the best stage quality of anything I’ve owned. This boom is solid and compact.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Great product

Actually the worst boom that I have and I have some pretty cheap ones($20). This is not even as good as the cheap ones!!! The horizontal adjustment system is fine, but the bolt that controls the tilt of the boom sucks eggggggs. No matter how hard you tighten it (till your fingers hurt), it still slips, I will leave the room and come back an hour later and its is a foot lower than where i set it and tightened it to ridiculous tension. Do not trust it with your good mics as it will eventually end up on the floor. I bought an Atlas boom at the same time that I love and trust - either get a cheap boom, it costs a lot less and works better! If you want a good trustworthy boom perhaps an Atlas - dont get this - Sorry K&M, your stands are great but your boom aint!

Beautifully built for pianist/vocalist; just the right size. Sturdily built and threads easily on standard mic stand.

K&M is as good as it gets. I have all sorts of there stuff in my pro studio. However, I sure wish this boom used their thin, chromed metal tightener for the angle adjustment. (The one that slides back & forth as needed, when in use, and is found on a different K&M boom.) For me, that is FAR superior to the fixed "black oval" tightener used on this boom. I really HATE this tightener, and will be looking online to see if I can find a retrofit piece closer to the type I like. WHY, K&M, WHY ? - At least sell the other tightener as a separate part !

Ich habe den K&M Schwenkarm gekauft, um auf der Bühne etwas weniger sperrige Mikroständer zu haben. Bei einem "normalen" Mikroffonstativ und der Benutzung von unüblichen Mikro-Halterungen oder bspw. einer Reflektorscheibe für Trompete, würde der Schwenkarm ca. 1m waagerecht in den Raum hineinragen. Diese Problem ist nun mit diesem sehr wertig verarbeiteten K&M Zubehört erledigt. Die Schrauben und Befestigungen lassen sich sauber anziehen und der Arm hält seine Position auch ohne jegliche Probleme. Nur zu empfehlen!

Very well made, it doesn’t sag under the weight of a SM58. The telescopic arm lets me get the exact reach I want without a big overhang.
