No directions
When it comes to gamecube controllers there are few options when you need a new one. I have never had a gamecube but rather play gamecube games with my wii. When you need a controller your options are used, refurbished, brand new oem ( rare and expensive is you find one ) or something like this. This controller works fine. It is lighter than an oem controller though. D pad and sticks work fine for the price of this. Buttons don't seem mushy at all at least for now. The plastic has a nice feel and doesn't feel cheap at all plus it has a decent amount of grip. My biggest issue with this is the fact that there are no instructions with it. This controller has a turbo button plus a slow button. Beings this has added features that an original controller does not I feel like an instruction booklet is kind of necessary. I'm sure I can figure out how to use these features but everyone might not be able to. The controller and the box it comes in don't have a single word about brand, manufacturer, country of origin or anything for that matter. The only writing is on the label with the bar code for the order pullers. I mention this because I have no idea about a warranty because of no booklet and no info period about the controller. Anyway it does work well and you should enjoy it. If I have any issues I will update this review.

Works well with my Gamecube but some buttons are lower quality
I still have my original working Gamecube and got this controller as a backup to the original. It works well and is just as responsive as the original controller aside for some of the taller buttons that have a longer throw. This controller is a bit bulkier than the original controller but I find it very comfortable to hold despite being larger. The cable is decent length at 1.8 meters long. The controller is fairly light but made of strong plastic and should withstand being dropped. The buttons and sticks are a bit inconsistent in quality, with some feeling really good, while others feeling a bit cheap. I find the L and R buttons feel almost exactly like the original controller. The left analog stick, the C-stick and directional pad also feel very good. I just find that the face buttons (A, B, X and Y) and Z button are hollow and too clicky. The face buttons in particular are very tall and have a long throw so pressing those buttons quickly is a bit more challenging. They are also fairly loud to press. The Turbo, Start and Slow buttons are rubber and also have long throws. I was disappointed that the controller does not come with the adaptor to play on other devices since I was hoping to use this on my PC and Nintendo Switch. However the price is affordable and worth it if you need a backup Gamecube controller.

Great! Cheap alternative to original
I'm using this with an adaptor for the Nintendo Switch and it's going well, so far! The rumble effect works really well and the joysticks and buttons seem to do what they're supposed to. Smash Bros played nicely with it and all of the buttons were mapped right, which was cool.I've never used a 'slow' button before, but yeah that actually worked when I tried it in Smash Bros - what it does it presses the pause button repeatedly, which displays the pause menu very quickly on and off, but it does slow the game down so you can see what's happening etc.Again, you'll need an adaptor to make this work on the Switch (Gamecube to Switch adaptors are available elsewhere on Amazon) or you can use it with either an original Gamecube obviously, or an original Wii (open the top of the Wii and there should be some Gamecube ports). I've been using it with an adaptor on Switch and it works well. It's a good replacement Gamecube controller, cheaper than sourcing a new old one, that seems to be about as well made as you'd expect, so I'm happy with that.

Works great
This is a fully functional, affordable and nice looking backup or replacement controller for your gamecube. Is it Nintendo quality?Obviously no.Its a cheap knockoff. But this controller works and it works great.I received mine today and played a few hours with it.It plays just like the original gamecube controller. The buttons are very responsive and the vibration works great aswell. The buttons are more "clicky" than the original but,I don't mind that and usually with use, this lessens or goes away. What I care about is how it functions and it does function exactly the same as the original. Its a great, affordable backup to have that works.I read other reviews that said it's larger or bulkier. Not in my case.(see picture)It's the same size as my original gamecube controllers. For the price and how well it functions,I can definitely recommend this controller.

Bad quality construction.
Gamecube ControllerThis is an overpriced and bad quality controller. If you expect to receive a similar quality to the original Gamecube controller, let me tell you this is not what you're looking for.I ordered this thinking I would be able to use it on my switch (which requires an adapter that's not included), but I would rather use any other of my 3rd party switch controllers over this one.The construction doesn't feel good, ALL the buttons have this very weird sensation when you press them, the joysticks are not smooth at all, the triggers feel like they had sand inside wearing them out every time you press them. The actual size and weight are fine, but for the rest, I don't think this is a good alternative for a GC controller.
