The perfect tool
Nice photography tool. The reflected one degree feature does work with extremely accurate, the flash / enviromental light analisys is very useful. If are you like me that are looking for a good exposure meter for work this is the best option.

Seller does not communicate, item was in transit for more than 2 months
I cancelled my order after no communication there was no tracking number to my order even tho I already checked out. I know this is a great item but I wish the seller improved their communications. I sent emails but never heard back.

Customer Service is horrible... The Macgroupus is a mess.
This company is owned by a group called MACGROUPUS which is a disaster, has been a disaster, for the photographic/video world for years. It's just a big group that have so many brands under that they have an unqualified small group of people that not only don't know the products well because there's too much but they are lazy to top that. The software that is supposed to calculate your camera sensor dynamic range is completely inaccurate and obsolete as well, it didn't change in 20 years!

If you feel that with modern cameras, an external light meter is redundant, you may be dead wrong. If you want unmatched accuracy to capture details in brightest highlights and the darkest shadows, your camera's built in meter may not be reliable. The reading of the cameras meter may be affected by the tone, color and contrast of the subject. Even if you are shooting RAW, the histogram on your camera is based on a JPG preview of your RAW image. Just point your camera on different parts of a evenly lit scene. Your camera will show different readings depending on the amount of sky and other elements in the scene. It is a fact that the evaluative or matrix mode in a modern camera is very inconsistent. Even the spot metering in a modern camera varies according to the focal length of the lens being used. A wide angle lens will never give a narrow enough spot. This is why an external light meter becomes necessary to capture the full dynamic range possible in a camera. This is an excellent product. Infact, the best one can buy. If you use Pocket Wizards go for the 758DR version. I opted for the 758D version as I do not use Pocket Wizard. Spot metering is extremely useful for landscapes. The 1 degree Spot offered by this meter is unmatched by the Spot Metering mode of DSLRs. It calculates the exposure compensation for filters at the press of a button. Once a reading is taken, one can make creative adjustments of shutter speed, Aperture or ISO, the meter automatically figures out the equivalent exposure. Several different readings can be stored in the memory and can be averaged. It is also useful for determining lighting ratios for studio lights. This meter uses CR123 batteries which last quite long. The batteries are easily available. Even rechargeable batteries are available. Best part of the meter is that you can actually calibrate it with your camera's dynamic range using the free Sekonic DTS software and an optional Xrite's Colorchecker Passport. Calibration data from upto 3 cameras can be used in the meter at any time. Sekonic has been a leading manufacturer of light-meters for long and the accuracy and reliability of this meter is of very high order. I have no hesitation in recommending this product. It will take your photography to new heights.

Need this for assessing the zone system for landscape photography using traditional historic film and alternative techniques. Expensive but necessary.
