First, this is supposed to be an adjustable pillow. If you want to remove some of the stuffing you will have to cut and resew the inner containment sleeve. Secondly, as it arrives, its about as soft as a bag of sand, though not as accommodating. And lastly, these pillows weigh as much as a bag of sand! I had arranged to return them but wasn't sure how to go about returning something so clumbersome, so I recycled them into our decroative shams. Now I get a good workout making the bed cuz of the weight of these.MY BAD! So may options with higher ratings I don't know why I chose these. Most regretable.

the people that wrote that the pillow wasn't adjustable/that they couldn't figure out how to adjust the pillow /or open the pillow up to remove memory foam- didn't understand that the word adjustable refers to the gel memory foam (that is shredded that fills the pillow) adjusting to the weight of each individuals head and neck when lay down on it. you are not supposed to remove the filling. all memory foam is adjustable-if you have a memory foam mattress topper or bed the memory foam adjusts to the shape of your body.

It is only adjustable if you have a sewing machine. It is a hard pillow, but it is well made

As a side sleeper who was waking every morning with a shoulder ache and buzzing from aggravated carpal tunnel, I knew that my foam pillows were beyond their usefulness for sleep, so I checked for something that was rated by CR specifically for side sleepers.This particular pillow was not easy to find and not the least expensive I ever found but I can say after one night that it is fantastic for those of us who need good neck and head support that isn't too warm.It is not "rocklike" as some have inferred but firm with a soft cooling gel layer on top. This morning is the first morning that I woke without buzzing or aching in the shoulder on the side I slept on in years and I wasn't constantly waking up to change position last night.For non-side sleepers, check for pillow reviews for your preferred position and hunt that brand down. I had never heard of or seen this brand in any store, but for me it was well worth the effort.

Worst pillow for me ever. Too high and hard. Have had about a month and still can't figure out how it's adjustable.

Imagine filling a pillowcase with rice and calling it a pillow. That's what these feel like to me. I wrote to the company - no response.
