Perfect for Collectors and Enthusiasts | Paperweight, Aged Effect, Desk Ornament:For Jurassic World fans this is a coveted desk ornament. It does look pretty cool from one side or the other. However, the insect is a flat two-dimensional image inside the resin. You can turn it and the insect image completely disappears. Even so, it can still bring some joy to a true fan.

I run the Fight the Bite campaign for my county. This makes a cute addition to my desk & also serves as a paperweight when I set up at fairs & festivals. This is a printed mosquito on a clear plastic piece inside an amber colored resin flat bottomed egg shape. It is light weight, not heavy like a standard paper weight. It still works for keeping flyers held in place in a breeze. This is a good size, large enough to notice & to be able to see the mosquito. The mosquito however is not true to size. The egg is relatively the size of a goose egg. This is good novelty quality, would be great for cosplay purposes, and would light up well if you added a light source. I believe you'd be able to drill into this resin to make a prop. Only a couple tiny resin air bubbles. Everything is smooth, even, no bad lines.

Big fan of Jurassic Park since I saw it in theaters opening day when I was 12 years old. I have always wanted to have John Hammond's cane, with the mosquito in resin capped on the top! I would have guests over and welcome them in with a Scottish accent, "Welcome....to Jurassic House!"So I saw this and immediately snatched it up. I was not expecting a whole lot, given the price, and I got exactly what I expected. It's made of cheap lightweight resin, but it's solid and polished, and has a flattened base so it looks really cool on your desk or on a shelf, as long as you look at it from straight on. I took a star off because the "mosquito" inside isn't like, a cheap plastic toy mosquito they stuck in the resin, it's a thin 2D image that completely disappears when you look at it from the side (see the second picture).I bought a cool wizard cane/staff from Spirit Halloween this year that has a clear orb at the end and I TOTALLY want to pull the orb off and replace it with this thing. I WILL HAVE MY JOHN HAMMOND CANE!

A lot bigger than I thought it was going to be, I'm a fan of the movies and this looks like the top of his cane. The mosquito detail is well done, almost gives you the creeps looking at how large a mosquito once was. Has a nice weight to it, comes in a gift box, transparent amber looks good with a light under it.

I wished that the Insect inside was 3D instead of 2D. If it was 3D like in the movies it would be worth it but you can only see the insect from one angle. Other than that you can't see a thing. It's a nice paper weight to relive the Jurassic Park moment but that's it.

I bought the Jurassic Mosquito in Amber replica because I'm a huge Jurassic Park fan, and it definitely didn’t disappoint! The detail on the mosquito is incredible, and the amber resin has a great aged effect that really gives it an authentic, fossilized look. It’s the perfect size to sit on my desk. It’s a fun, nostalgic piece for any Jurassic Park enthusiast, and I love how it adds a cool, prehistoric vibe to my space. Overall, a great addition to my collection!

Really cool product. It looks believable and well done from a short distance. Up close, you can see that it's merely a color print on clear plastic surrounded by resin. But it is actually very neat to have on the shelf. A conversation piece for sure.I wish it were a "real" mosquito encased in resin -- a lifelike plastic one or something -- just to get an up close, 3-dimentional look and feel. But this is awesome an quite believable. I'm impressed regardless.I recommend this. 4 stars because of the 2-dimension execution but still fun and interesting!
