Does exactly as described
I'm using this splitter cable on my kitchen TV. The TV only has one USB port but I wanted to use this one port for a USB memory stick but also to power to a chromecast streaming device. (Saves having a separate wall power supply for the Chromecast). The USB socket with the red marking is *power-only* (not data) and I'm using it to power the Chromecast. The other is a normal data/power USB connection into which I have plugged the USB memory stick. Does exactly as I was hoping - both connected devices work as expected this way.

Works great for my need.
I found myself needing to power a 5v Bluetooth transmitter and a 4 port optical switch from my TV, but realised I only had one 5v 0.5A usb socket not already in use on the TV. I wasn’t sure if there would be enough current supply to power both devices from the one USB port. No need to worry as it worked perfectly, and is now powering both devices, which means they will now switch on and off with the TV.

Bought to power USB backlights for a TV and also run a flash drive into the TV to watch content.
Works perfectly.

Does not work in the car
Bought to use in my car to charge 2 phones from one USB port. Neither cable provides a charge to the phone so not fit for purpose.
