Every Christmas I buy my niece a snow globe. This is beautiful and I love the music. What I like the most is that instead of batteries you plug it in if you want to hear it play and see lights. I am getting away from using so many batteries so I think this is great!!

The 8 beautiful songs it plays are perfect for setting the holiday mood, and the sound quality is surprisingly good for something like this. Each tune is clear and festive, creating a warm, nostalgic atmosphere in my home.The snow globe itself is simply gorgeous. The craftsmanship is top-notch, and the moment I took it out of the box, I was blown away. It has a solid, good weight to it, which gives it a premium feel and ensures it won’t tip over easily, even if it gets bumped. The glitter and snow inside are absolutely mesmerizing—it sparkles and swirls around, adding such a magical touch to the room. Every time I look at it, I can’t help but smile.But what really makes this piece stand out is the way the light shines off of it. While the frame is plastic, it doesn’t feel cheap at all—it’s made from a heavier, high-quality material that feels sturdy and durable. It’s well-balanced and has enough weight to stay in place, so there’s no worry about it tipping over easily.The music quality is great for a music box, playing snippets of 8 classic Christmas songs with decent volume and clarity for its size. You can also choose to run it with or without the music, which is a nice option. The "statue" inside, featuring Santa and adorable puppies, looks much better than I expected—nicely detailed and charming.The timer works perfectly, and the light inside really enhances the overall effect. As the glitter snow swirls around, the light reflects off the flakes, creating a sparkling effect that adds warmth and a touch of magic to the room. It even throws playful light and shadows on the ceiling and walls, which is such a festive touch.I love the versatility of being able to use either batteries or the included USB cord (though you’ll need to provide your own wall plug adapter). We bought two of these water globes as Christmas presents for our 7 year old nieces. Chose the snowman one so they could use them past Christmas since they won't be getting these until then. The lantern handle will make it easier for them to carry it safely. The musical sound is nice but loud but since you can also just turn on the light without music, they could us them as a night light. Thankfully the cap for the battery compartment is a pop-off, and not screw in like other types, which made placing/replacing batteries easier.

So the first part of this review is a tip in case you have stuck glitter like I did..STUCK GLITTER WILL RELEASE IN ABOUT 12 Hours if uprightThe pictures shown show the stuck glitter. I tried to get it to move by running the globe (which circulates the water) and by shaking etc and the glitter wouldn't budge. I started to return the globe and when I went to get it the next day the glitter had released from the side and the globe worked fine. Now the globe looks fineBuild qualityThe snow globe is well made -- sturdy with a solid base, and battery compartment. The figurines are well painted and look great (nice details.) The metal portion of the base and top are not "Solid" but they are thick enough to last and sturdy enough to function well. Overall I am very pleased and feel like this is a good quality commensurate with the price.USB or batteryThis can run off usb or battery power.Lights and motion (and optionally sound)The 3-position switch on the bottom has off as the center position with light and motion (circulating glitter) on one end of the switch and light motion and songs on the other.Light ShowThe light shown through the top reflects on the glitter to make a inverted disco ball like light show around the snow globe (see video -- the lighting is more spectacular in the dark)LOUD musicThe music is a bit loud, almost too loud for a quiet room but fine at a get together with other noise and talking going on.Kids LoveOur kid LOVES his -- we have to hide it or he would play with it all day.Final thoughts:This is a very nice snow globe I recommend.
