I bought this to replace the USB-C cable supplied with my Dell Monitor to connect to my XPS13. As a one cable solution it was excellent. However, it was too long at 2m and inflexible, which was annoying. This Silkland offering appears to be a quality cable that at 1m is the right length and it is much more flexible which means that it has solved the problems of the Dell cable. The 90 plug at the laptop keeps the cabling neat, the braiding should help longevity and looks good and the power rating and data transfer speeds are all i needd to sopply power and video between the monitor and laptop. I have no problem recommending this cable for quality on offer and the price paid.

I have a couple if dual boot MacBooks, one of which I use for karaoke shows. So I can’t risk the lead coming out during a set. Even though my external drive’s cable was ok it could come out without much force; so I needed a better quality lead. This one is perfect for the job. It’s extremely fast, and powers my M.2 enclosure with no issues. I ordered a short lead to keep data throughout as fast as possible. But it’s just the right size. I also bought one with a right angled connection, to keep my set up nice and tidy. Definitely not the cheapest; but the quality is the best I’ve had so far. Works in my MacBook, my iPad, my iPhone and my micro PC, all of which can access the drive flawlessly, so it seems compatible with many USB type C devices.

Finally, a USB-C cable that feels like it actually matches the spec it claims. I’m using this with a MacBook Pro and external SSDs, and it handles full-speed data and 240W charging without breaking a sweat. Braided cable feels solid but flexible, and the ends are sturdy — no sign of fraying or bending after daily use. You can spend less and end up replacing cheap cables over and over. This just works, and I trust it with all my expensive kit. Worth the extra few quid.

Good quality & works as thought it would

Was a bit unsure given the option to purchase a longer was available. But it works fine. Using it to feed a portable monitor and have had no issues so far. Is not as thick as the cables I have used before and easier to manage. The addition of an angled connection helps prevent it sticking out. Looks and feels like it's a quality product. Cannot fault it at this price.

I wanted a right angle cable so I can connect my Windows laptop and MacBook Pro to my monitor for both power and video out and specifically want a right-angle head to get rid of annoying cables poking out. This does that perfectly for both Windows and Mac computers. It happily delivers 4K video out and sufficient power for my quite power hungry Winodws laptop. This is, of course, dependant on your monitor being able to provide power out on the USB-C. The cable feels quite sturdy and has a nice braided outer. Been using for a while now and multiple plugs and un-plugs each day and so far has worked perfectly. The plugs themselves, whilst not the smallest, are also not stupidly big like some I have seen and feel solid in hand. If I needed another one, I would happily buy again and means my work space is so much neater and the cable is out of the way from my mouse, notepad or whatever else I have on my desk. Goodbye docking stations, multiple cables etc.
