Fairy Ponies Midnight Escape (Young Reading Series 3 Fiction): 01

I had a special reason to buy this book for my daughter - it is written by a very talented friend from university. We have only just received the package in the post (along with "Magic Necklace", second in the series), and although I intended to give Magic Necklace to a school friend for her birthday, I've now been told that we must keep both because they look too good to lose. We'll just have to re-order Midnight Escape for the birthday girl....anything to encourage reading alone! I'm sure this will be a hit with any girl aged 6-10. More please, Zanna!

My 8 year-old devoured this book in one sitting. She absolutely LOVED it. She found it "scary, exciting, funny and magical" all things a really good children's book should be. She adores Susanna Davidson's Usborne adaptations of well known classics already but this new and original adventure really captured her imagination. Can't recommend this highly enough, especially as after finishing Harry Potter we were on the look out for something a bit different that wasn't Enid Blyton....Brilliant.

Arrived quickly, good book for a pony mad girl

This was a great present for my god-daughters, an exciting story that is beautifully written. It is paced very well for reading together and lovely illustrations complement the story. I look forward to the next installments.
