In response to the current hot weather we put up the outdoor paddling pool. In the evenings it gets well used but its also the time that the mosquitos put in an appearance and numerous parties were showing the signs after a few days.I know it says indoor trap, but I pop this device undercover in the garden and a safe distance from the pool. It goes on at dusk. It maybe small but it appears to draw the insects towards it very successfully - there are no adjacent lights to distract them. Since it has been on, no one has been bitten.On unscrewing the top I am always amazed to find the device so full - see image. Its caught several wasps and a few too many moths for my liking, but my wife doesnt like them either so its a win win as far as she is concerned. But its the mosquitos that are being well and truly decimated - Its averaging 18 per night.We do bring it indoors when we aren't using it outside - when turning it off, the trapped insects can escape and the odd one does but most don't seem to figure it out quick enough before its back on again.

Brought it for about 1 week, the fan itself is very quiet, and is functioning properly(at least I do see dead insect inside the fan), while I still see insect flying around sometimes, but the number has been reduced for definite.

Unfortunately I struggle very very badly from all insects that bite, specially small flying insects.I wanted a chemical free way of tackling my issues of being badly bitten during the summer session, so I bought this unit having great hopes from some of the reviews that this would help.Unfortunately I’ve had zero success, it’s caught no insects, my partner and I are still being bitten. I had 2 flying insects indoors buzzing around me, next to the unit but the unit had no affect. During the day you can’t see the blue light, it’s basically a little blue LED light inside a plastic casing. It only shows up at night, so insects aren’t attracted to it during the day.The other big difficulty for me was I couldn’t manage having the unit on in my bedroom as it was too noisy to enable me to sleep, so I put it in the hallway! So again I get bitten at night. During the day I don’t notice it on with other noises occurring.This unit does act quite well as a mini air purifier, inside the drum it had sucked fine dust particles and a pet hair.Back to spraying myself with insect repellents.

Doesnt seem to be tha effective quite disappointed, might have to ask for a refund

I was pleasantly surprised by the effectiveness of this. For its price, and being just USB, it works quite well. Most fly killers zap the bugs, but some flies like green flies and fruit flies just hover around the zapper instead of actually getting zapped (which is why I bought this). This sucks them in :) only downside is that the holes are too big for small flies as they can get out (about 50% could get out). But the ones that do get out, just get sucked back in again!

Does the job, also seems to pick up quite a lot of house dust so needs regular cleaning out. Slightly too noisy to leave on overnight in a bedroom

Well, you read all the reviews, good and bad, but only when you get it and use it do you really know.I took the leap of faith and bought one two weeks ago.. it arrived quickly and I pugged it into the USB and off it went..Now - let's be clear.. it will do nothing in the daytime when it's lighter outside than in and your ceiling lights will also distract bugs in the evening.. however.. when you turn off your lights and go to bed - that's when the little thing starts to work. If it's the only source of light in the room, the bugs just flock to it.. first night I had 32 little flying bugs in it.. utter magic, none were left flying around the next day.. they were all in the trap.I have my french doors open at lot, so lots of these bugs get in during the evening, so up to the point of getting this, I would vacuum them up at 10pm at night! Now, I just go to bed and they are all in the trap in the morning.It works on smaller flies, mosquitos etc.. big house flies it won't.. but.. tbh.. I'm still blown away how well it works.

haven't had product that long yet but seems to be doing a good job.
