Very Strange
I first checked this at the sames level and I achieved about 25% increase in mbps. (30mbps). Then went to all the trouble fitting at ceiling height close to a window. I was shocked the signal dropped to 4/5mbs far less that without. So I moved it back to original low level position just a metre from router on a coffee table, now I am getting 40 to 50 mbps. No idea why this happened but I am very pleased with the end result. So if your router has just one external antenna this piece of kit is for you. My Model broadband signal was good, now it's great. Cancelled landline package and use router as phone with Three unlimited data, minutes, text, £11 for first 6 months then £22.Edit: Did speed test this morning (13/10) It was 59mbps. Contrary to other reviews I get better speeds when antenna setting Router is set to auto, not external or internal.

Doesn't seem to make much difference. In fact at times the signal is weaker with the anthena.
Using with Huawei wifi router and the signal strength seems sometimes slightly better but other times worse. The cable is only long enough to use in a car/van, way too short to mount on a pole.

Works well and feels well made
It is hard to really know if they have improved our 4g speed and stability or if the internet provider has improved things at their end. However having played with the position of the antenna and using an app to get the direction of the tower we are now getting a reasonable signal and better stability. We did purchase 2 antenna and currently only using indoors, so we may try outside in the better weather.

Won't improve indoor signal..
Used with a Huawei B535, on the Three UK 4G networkDoesn't offer any advantage if used indoors - the built-in antenna on the B535 is actually better. Would be useful if it had a longer cable and was fitted outdoors though. Only beneficial if you physically can't move your router to a better signal area, and for that 2m of cable isn't going to be enough. Before buying one, check your router stats (RSRP, RSRQ and SINR) then go and learn what they mean. It doesn't take long and they tell you exactly what you're lacking. With 4G, router/antenna placement isn't as logical as you'd think - sometimes the signal bounces off walls/windows/buildings/frozen dead badgers etc and you'll get the best signal in really stupid-seeming places. For me, my issue was 'SINR'. That is, signal-to-noise-ratio. Turns out living in the city centre means that I'm so spoiled for choice with the sheer number of available phone masts, that they actually 'fight' and talk over each other. This shows a really strong signal, but one thats suffering from so much interference that it's hardly worth using. As much as I hate it because it looks stupid, carefully covering the back of my B535 in tinfoil successfully blocked out enough of the competing rf noise that my SINR improved fivefold. Real world, that means I went from 15mbs of unstable internet to 45mbs of very stable connection. Literally night-and-day performance improvement, all for the sake of an A4 piece of tinfoil.Hopefully someone will read this BEFORE spending 12mnths wondering why their city-centre internet sucks...

It's all about position...
First thing to note is that this antenna is only a single sma connector, not dual, which I naively thought I was purchasing. Most 4G routers have dual antenna connectors so you could in reality use 2 of these antenna for one router.I decided I'd give it a try and just replace one of antenna with this device and intially very little improvement and was satrting to make plans to return it. I tried firstly on the side of the house which I believed would be the stronger for the mobile signal but still only managed 10-15MB/s which I was getting already with my TP-Link MR200's own antenna.I then tried on the other side of my house, whilst dangling the antenna out of my window and was gobsmacked to see it hitting 48MB/s. However just moving it around slightly, trying different locations on that side of the house the range varied from 20-48MB/s.I think the lesson learned is you have to be patient and persevere until you can find that sweet spot. Also those not seeing any improvemnt when using the Huawei router(don't quote me on this!!) I believe you need to change the settings in the router to tell it you are using an external antenna.

Brilliant with one. Fantastic with two.
I live on the edge of an EE signal area in rural NW Scotland where I couldn't get a signal indoors. Plugged one into my Huawei B525-4G router it instantly went to 4 bars and got 30 meg download. Goodbye BT landline with your 1 meg is good for you attitude.I did some thinking and bought a stainless steel veggie steamer, (can get them on here) see photo of steamer and techie shot with one aerial. It went up to 50 Meg. Bought another and did the same so I run with two of these at a stable 80 meg. Occasionally I get into the hundreds. Highly recommended and better than a directional aerial for me. Theres a hill in the line of sight of the mast (2 miles away according to google map). Buy one find a nice spot and off you go it will take a while for the sweet spot but its worth the effort. Be patient, run a few speedtests after every move or use LTE inspectuer I used both, and take notes. Took us about an hour. A foot either way makes a difference. Longer cable would have been nice but 6ft or so is a fair stretch.

They didn't work in my case.
For me it didn't work.Without these antenna I was already getting 50 Mbps, with the antenna connected and the router switched to use these connected antenna instead of its own internal ones my speed dropped to 30 Mbps and I am in a clear line of sight to my local Vodafone Mast which is less than quarter of a mile away from my home, so in my case these did not work, but reviews say that they have worked for many others.

Only one cable..need 2
Need 2 cable connectors for most routers. So you must buy 2 of these antenna... makes it expensive for tiny upgrade of signal
