I bought this horn to see if I could recover my trumpet training from high school (I am now 68). I was trained on a $700 professional's used trumpet, which I ended up selling back to the original owner. I was shocked by the low price of this horn, and even more shocked by it's beauty and clear tone (my tone on the pro trumpet was never as good as this).

I needed an inexpensive Flugel. Yes like all horns especially my silver Bach, as you play intonation changes. It’s second nature today but if this helps?? You likely become more flat as the horn warms. A cold horn is always a bit sharp you’ll get there! Best of luck.

The media could not be loaded. This is a beautiful instrument. It handle well, light weight. has a very nice sound.one thing that might be a dislike is that when the instrument began to get warm the sound changed. It might be a player error on my part at age 78. The keys were a little stiff at first, but became freer moving as time went on. The mouth piece was small for me, but I have thick lips and my trumpet mouth piece helped me to play this instrument better. I have not had it too long, but I feel it will be well used. The price was reasonable. love it.

If I could give this company a zero I would. my husband plays trumpet so he wanted to get this item a flugelhorn so he ordered from this company. First of all when we received the item there was no box the case was wrapped in brown paper and a little beat up. After inspecting the item he found it was very cheaply made the springs were on the underneath instead of where they were supposed to be. It was just an all-around piece of junk. We returned the item and have over the last two weeks or more had nothing but issues with Amazon and this company trying to get a refund. I get an email today from Amazon telling me we are not getting our full amount of money back that they want to charge us a restocking fee. This is unacceptable. I will be contacting my credit card company for a dispute. Do not order from these people.

Excellent sounds from this beautiful Coronet. It is difficult to believe that high quality comes with a reasonable price!

Very cheap instrument for amazing sound. The only problem is the spit valves arent placed right but other than that it's great.

Horn works great. Needed a good cleaning and some valve oil to get good valve action but once I did that it was great. The mouthpiece that comes with it is garbage and didn’t fit well in the lead pipe but once I got a new Yamaha mouthpiece all was well. Tuning is a little weird in the second valve but all in all for under 200 bucks, this horn is awesome and fun. Really beautiful too.

... but I had already ordered and received a Yamaha Bobby Shew mouthpiece, so that wasn't a real issue, but would have been if I hadn't read in another review that the mouthpiece that came with it is crap... so anyhoo, the sound is nice and big and fat, the intonation is fair, nothing I can't compensate for with my embrochure... I live in an apartment, so, until I get a mute, I can't really wail on this like I want to... it is very easy breathing, not much back pressure, at least not as much as my trumpet... the third valve seized on me once, but after cleaning it really good and lubing it up, it seems fine... the springs are a bit stiff, but with playing in, that should be a self correcting issue... be careful putting the caps back on after cleaning, they can get cross threaded very easily...
