AHDECOR White Floating Shelves Wall Mounted, Deeper Wall Storage Shelf for Home Décor, Super Sturdy, Easy to Install, 12” Wide, 7.75” Deep

I give this AHDECOR White Floating Wall Mounted Shelf a five-star rating because it is beautiful, elegant, well-made, and nicely designed. The only con is that it could be 10%—20% less pricey. It took me some trial and error to install this shelf successfully. Some of the reviews mentioned the shelf's stability issue or the lack of it. These reviews say they had difficulty to make the shelf fit tight to the wall, and that it dips slightly forward and wabbles. I'd like to address these concerns with my review here. First of all, the way you install this floating wall-mounted shelf is simple: you screw a bracket into the wall, then you insert the floating shelf onto the bracket’s two rods. There are two pre-drilled holes on the bottom of the shelf and two pre-drilled holes on the rods which align so that you could screw a screw into them to secure the shelf onto the bracket. How sturdy and steady the shelf post installation depends on whether one installs the unit onto the drywall or the studs. If you install the unit into a drywall, then it should be understood that your new floating shelf will not carry much weight and that it may shake a bit when touched. I installed the unit into the drywall. I could have installed it into one or two wall studs, but my wall stud finder didn't work. As one can see, my installation was successful and the shelf doesn't dip forward or wabble and it's tightly attached to the wall. I would recommend this product.

I like this cute little shelf. I’m using it to hold an extender Eero device. It was easy to install and is very sturdy. I would highly recommend this product.

So I ordered this shelf to go on the wall under my flat screen tv because I wanted it to hold my blu ray player, roku, and maybe a few discs. I selected this one because I liked the shaped edges which appeared fancier than most of the others offered on Amazon. The shape reminded me of crown molding like a high end wooden shelf would have affixed to its edges. Upon unpacking it I noticed that one of the corners was missing paint (see photo). Not a huge deal as I was able to buy a white paint marker and touch it up, but still, not the first thing one wants to see when I boxing their “fancy” new shelf. I also noticed at that time how light the shelf is. Prior reviewers were right, the multi density board that hey used to make thing thing isn’t all that dense. However, it’s a shelf that’s rated to hold 12lbs or less, so wasn’t too worried about this. Onward to installation and prior reviewers’ comments about the shelf not sitting plumb to the wall. All I can say is, learn to do basic, simple carpentry. This shelf installs easily and comes out just fine if you follow the instructions and employ some basic common sense. I measured where I wanted the self to go, leveled it, marked the wall, drilled small pilot holes, sunk the plastic wall anchors ALL THE WAY INTO THE WALL UNTILL THEY WETE FLUSH, screwed in the mounting bar, slid the shelf over the bar, sunk the set screws into the bottom of the shelf to steady it against the mounting bar, and applied the two small, white, stickers provided over the screw holes. After installing this shelf I’m firmly convinced that the people complaining about it not sitting flush against the wall and/or being lose simply don’t understand that the shelf can never be more flush that the wall anchors that they’re mounting them into. Sink those anchors so they they’re flush against the wall and you’ll have a flush mounted shelf every time. I think that the manufacturer would do well to note this somewhere in the instructions as apparently this is a real problem for some. Once up I think the shelf looks great. It holds everything I need it to and lends a clean sort of look to what otherwise might appear as clutter. It is worth mentioning that the shelf came packaged pretty well. Lots of styrofoam protecting painted surfaces and wedged throughout the box to keep things from shifting. That said when I brought the box inside I still heard clanking as the mounting bar and hardware were moving around. A simple bit of tape could have prevented this and possibly saved the paint on the corner of my shelf. I’m giving this item 4 stars instead of 5 because of the scratched off paint on one corner and the metal components that were moving around in the package which should have been a quick, easy, fix at the factory.

I bought this little shelf as a replacement for my bathroom. The previous shelf looked very similar but the wall attachment was flimsy. It was difficult to keep it level. This shelf has a wall attachment system that is much sturdier. The actual shelf is well made and looks durable. Installation was straight forward and took about 15 minutes. An electric screwdriver came in handy. I highly recommend.
