this book was one of my most anticipated reads for this year
Reviewed For I'm A Sweet And Sassy Book WhoreI have tried more than once to write this review for Eulogy and every time I delete it because I never feel that my simple words are worthy enough for this book. I am going to try again with the hopes that this time my words will express how much this book made me feel, how many times I cried, how many times I had white knuckles clutching my kindle wondering what was going to happen with Chase. I don’t want to spoil anything, because this book was one of my most anticipated reads for this year and it blew away any expectations I had because it was so much better than I could have ever imagined it to be.My heart broke for Chase in the previous book and I knew when starting Eulogy that he was going to break it more and he did. The emotions, the pain, that feeling of never being good enough when you have given your soul to someone had my emotions all over the place. I physically felt my stomach in knots, my heart aching and a darkness settle over my mind, it was as I felt how Chase was feeling like I was in his body. He has blood on his hands and vengeance in his heart and trying to stop him may cost you your life. He is no longer than fun loving Chase we fell in love with, he is dark, angry, hurt, and broken but this new side of him it’s always been there but now the beast is unleashed and on a rampage.I felt bad when Luciana was thrown into the lion’s den so to speak because I didn’t know how she would survive in this world. She is the complete opposite of Mil and I absolutely loved her. She has no idea how much her life is about to be turned upside down, or what she will endure to survive. Can she embrace the mantra of “Blood In. No Out”? Can she tame Chase and begin to heal his pain? Well I am not telling you, read the book but be prepared to cry, laugh, scream, and feel broken while you are on this journey. We have everyone’s points of view in Eulogy and I think that is what made this book even more intense and emotional for me. You don’t just have Chase’s pain and Luciana’s innocence, you have Nixon, Tracey, Mo, Phoenix, Tex, Dante and the rest of the family. You can’t help but feel while reading Eulogy. Eulogy very well may be Rachel Van Dyken’s best book to date. I can’t express how much I have not only loved Eulogy but this series as well. This needs to be on your TBR lists immediately and at the very top. Blood In. No Out.Received an ARC for which I voluntarily provided an honest review

"SPOILER FREE"
Euology (Eagle Elite #9) by Rachel Van DykenReviewed by Christina Linton#Eulogy #RVD #BloodInNoOut #SpoilerFreeBAM! 5 freakin’ Stars!EULOGY WILL BLOW YOUR MIND AWAY! At the end of Enrage I was anxious to read the next installment in Rachel Van Dyken’s famous Eagle Elite series and when I was given the chance to read an early copy of Eulogy, I dove RIGHT in without any hesitation. From the very beginning, Eulogy will pull you right in from the very first page and won’t let you go until the very last. This book was intense, action packed, raw, and …. with enough angst it will have you craving to know what happens next. The action alone will have you say, “What the hell…” I wanted to “virtually” throttle Chase a couple of times, LOL! Especially how he was with Luciana. And wow, the FEELS. Sometimes you wanted to be angry towards Chase but at the same time you wanted to cry. This series is so tangible, it’s like you’re there, part of the family. Going through the same emotions just like every character. Then suddenly Rachel Van Dyken will slap you will one hell of a wallop of a twist. I was like, “WHAT? HOW? REALLY? Therefore, I love Everything this author writes. She has me hooked like a book addict!!At the end of Chase’s and Luciana’s story, I … Was... Floored! I know one thing; this author is the Queen of Mafia! Love you and thank you Rachel Van Dyken for another awesomeness read.I can’t wait to see what this author has up her sleeve with the next book…I was given an ARC of Eulogy in exchange of an honest, non-biased review.

Well what I can say about this book RVD has done it again and just continues to feed my addiction for this series
Well what I can say about this book RVD has done it again and just continues to feed my addiction for this series. Twist, turns, secrets, angst, drama, WTF moments. This book will make your heart break and bleed, it will shock you, envelope you, consume you. I'm too the point where I want to reread it immediately because I am just not ready to let this book go right now.Chase Abandonato ... this man !!!! This man is angry at the world and rightfully so but his anger is so heart wrenching. Throughout this entire series Chase has always been for me the one that has my heart racing. There is just something about him that I can't quite put my finger on but it's there in spades !!! His intensity, his loyalty, his heartbreak, his anger all of it layed out in this book. Raw, unapologetic and palpable. After all he has been through and with the ultimate betrayal I wondered how this book would play out. Would he be completely broken or would he destroy everything around him including himself.Wow I'm still buzzing about this book !!!We see another side of Chase in this one and OMG it was intense. How the hell was he going to get through this. I wondered so many times throughout this book if he would make it through. And just when I think he will make it through, RVD does what RVD does best. She throws in some OH MY GOD NO bombs. And once again I am left reeling thinking OH MY GAWD how how how how is this going to go. What is going to happen next. She constantly leaves me on the edge of my seat.Gah !!! This series is Epic. I never want it to end.

Best one so far!
Wow! When we first met chase he was a young man and I fell for his character hook line and sinker. Now he’s all man and if it’s possible I love him even more!I don’t know how Rachel does it but each Elite book gets better and better and I love how they are getting darker.I don’t normally add spoilers but it’s hard to write about chase and Luc without adding a little bit about the book.I absolutely love how it’s mostly about just Chase and how he’s dealing with his past (which isn’t well).I wasn’t sure how he would come through the other side and the bam! In comes Luc and Steals his heart.I cried so hard at this book and it’s now my no’ 1 favourite as he finally gets his happy ending!

This is RVD at her very, very best!!!
5+++ Stars!!!Oh my, this series is simply sublime! I have loved every single story and each and every character but Chase is always my favourite, even if he is now broken and lost his fun-loving ways.Poor Chase, after the heartbreak of losing Mil, he's still in pain 6 months on. The nightmares won't go away and he's living on a diet of whiskey and wine. His friends, including Trace, are powerless to help him and yet still the many mafia cogs continue to turn, with or without him. When a new lawyer is introduced to the families, she is forced to live in Chase's house whilst she works through the many complex business dealings they have. Luc is timid and meek and she finds living in Chase's house terrifying, especially when it is shot up on a daily basis. With Chase also threatening her and frequently pointing his gun at her, Luc quickly becomes more broken than Chase. Despite this, she slowly and unwittingly starts to break through the many defensive layers that Chase has out around his heart. She sings him to sleep and he starts to cherish her company and eventually Chase starts to feel whole once again.Chase and Luc's relationship really packed an emotional punch. It was sweet, tender and ridiculously explosive, especially sexually. Whereas the Eagle Elite series has always portrayed sexual activities in a less is more way, Eulogy went full on especially in the way Chase and Luc attack each other when they realise their attraction to one another. The rest of the familiar family faces return, as expected, with also a shock which I didn't see coming, but that said, anything can and does happen when you're part of the Mafia! The comical banter still existed but alongside a darkness which again appeared to be amped up more in this instalment. I wasn't sure about the scene involving Luc's sacrifice for Chase though, it seemed to come out of nowhere and was disturbingly violent, all things considered. Still, the story rocked my world and maybe one of the best books in the series to date and the ending, and the secrets revealed were just, *sigh*!!!My only concern is that this book is being marketed as a standalone. It isn't and if you read it as such you will not appreciate the many facets and nuances covered in the series to date. Whilst you could theoretically read it as a standalone, I doubt it would make any sense to you and would result in a painfully low rating, and we REALLY don't want that!

So good
This series just gets better and better. My heart broke for Chase. He has been a favourite of mine for a long time. I actually felt his suffering and anger, the writing is that good. The story is mainly told from Chase and Luciana's point of view, with a few chapters from Trace and the guys view also. Having these chapters only adds to the mounting mystery and the ultimate climax. With a few twists at the end, some I was not expecting, this is an amazing and engrossing story.I've said it before, and I'm sure I'll say it again, but this series just keeps getting better with every story.

OMG!! ❤️ No Spoilers!!
OMG!! This author is on fire, you did it again!! I loved everything about Chases story, it was so raw seeing him go through the motions then adding to the mix Luc. I bloody loved her she was just what he needed and she caught him literally unaware. So many things happened, I cried, I laughed a little and I think I even had whiplash on a few occasions. I also can't believe I'm saying this but Trace, even though she thinks she has a responsibility to Chase annoyed me this time with her trying to help when she quite clearly wasn't needed!! At the end I actually felt complete with a full heart. Loved that things are evolving, loved each and every chapter. ❤️❤️

Every episode of this series just gets better. The humour is still there
Every episode of this series just gets better. The humour is still there, the characters are more grown up. The families are increasing and the banter remains just as enlightening. However each character, who is selected for the most current novel, is more endearing than the last. Chase, has already had one novel, but unfortunately life was mean, and although he worshipped Mil, she betrayed him, and loved her position more. Resulting in termination. We are left with a very different Chase, one full of hate, mistrust, revenge and drunkenness, until Luc a lawyer, with a vast secret even she doesn’t know about. The plot is so emotional, well written and totally immerses the reader in a cluster of feelings. I will not spoil anymore of the story. A must read. Important to read all the other 8 books before number 9, not only to experience Rachel’s excellent pen work, but to gather the necessary information to enjoy this book. A fabulous couple.
