My dog loves this! It’s a good looking leather collar that only looks better with time! Ok I lied, I’m not 100% sure if my dog loves it or not. I asked what his honest opinion was for the amazon review and he just looked at me with the most confused look ever. Unfortunately he doesn’t speak English, so this collar does not provide dogs with English speaking abilities. Thank goodness. How well did that work out for everyone when snowball got the ability to be a super smart dog? Nice one Jerry. Anyways, my dog seems to like it and the nice big loop is easy to connect his leash to! If you’re looking for a nice leather collar and don’t want to break the bank, look no further!

Very nice leather dog collar. I was skeptical, but I'm very impressed with the workmanship. If there were one negative (although minor) it would due to the prongs of the collar. They are a bit sharp, however, they will never touch the hide of your pet so there is no safety issue, but it might (theoretically) scratch other surfaces (i.e. your couch, table, etc.) -BUT maybe it wouldn't due to the angle of the prong. Just wanted anyone reading this to be aware of the potential.I'm very happy with my purchase that is why it received a 5-star rating and I might purchase two more for my other dogs.

Was concerned about the color of leather since it appears so orangy. Worried it would clash with my dog's coat color, but it looks great. I've had the collar for 2 months now and it's held up very nicely. Nothing has faltered or come unstitched or anything.I ordered the one with the blue lining and it's a very nice shade of blue. I was also concerned the blue would show dirt and sweat but it does not. The collar looks very nice, sharp and expensive. My GSD looks gorgeous with it on!I really like the width. Normally collars are thin and get lost on a larger dog. This one is perfect. It's about 2 inches wide. My GSD weighs about 90 lbs.

Not sure what is used on the collar, but the smell is noxious and made my poor guy freak out. He had the collar on for a minute and started convulsing around the floor and then he just peed right there in the floor as well. It was the collar that caused this commotion and when I took it off of him and smelled it, I knew exactly why. I don't know what they used, but unless the smell goes away, it's useless. I will definitely be returning it.

This is one of the few collars my 90 lb German Shepherd doesn't mind. The medium size fits her 17" neck on the 2nd from last hole so there is plenty of room to make it bigger or smaller if needed. I was surprised with the craftsmanship, this is a well made piece. I honestly was expecting less. The outer leather is tough and the inner is soft with makes a durable but comfortable collar for my girl. The rivets, buckles and other hardware really set this off. You can tell by the stitches that they really put some pride in making this. It's well worth the $21.99, I'm super happy with this. Thanks.

Originally got this because our 90 pound rottie/lab/coonhound was slipping out of the traditional nylon collars. This collar has been GOOD! Very sturdy and never feel like he will slip out. Was unsure about the double prong at first, but very thankful for it. He has scratched it up, been out in the rain, rolled in the dirt, etc. and it is still going strong after over 1 year! Not sure when this will wear out, but will definitely be purchasing another one!*UPDATE: After a solid 2+ years on a big boy, the trivets finally began to give way. We came back and ordered a new collar in the same "dark brown" color. It came almost firehouse red, which was a little hard to get used to, but he still looks good in it and feels just as sturdy. They did make some updates to the buckle--definitely not as sharp edges which I do appreciate. Hopefully just as sturdy as the first!

It fits perfect, and is great quality ! It is definitely leather . I have his size set to the second from the last , leaving 2 fingers in space between his neck and the collar to move . His neck is 17 inches . He is a 90 lb South American Doberman . Yes he is a rescue adopted at 3 1/2 yo , with his sister that was adopted out through a Doberman Rescue . Any larger than , I would say 20 inches , the collar may not fit . Look how handsome my guy looks !

It was a little stiff at first but my dog broke it in pretty quickly. We use a prong collar or harness when we walk her so we don’t attach her leash to it, so I can’t attest to it’s durability under that kind of regular use, but it does already show signs of wear/stretching in the hole we most regularly use. She doesn’t wear it at night and she wears it fairly loosely (I can fit several fingers between her neck and the collar). It feels nice and is very pretty, though. She frequently gets compliments on it when we’re out walking.

Measured my dogs neck prior to ordering this and ordered a large as described I the chart. Seems a bit bigger than I expected and now I have a lot of extra length that sticks out. Great quality. Looks fantastic, wish I had ordered a size down now. I have a German Shorthaired pointer and a blue tick coonhound, both of which I ordered the XL where after trying it on a L would have sufficed.

Love this collar for my great dane x breed. He has a very long neck so the thick collar looks great on him and doesn't choke him. The ring to put tags on is really wide so I bought a small carabeaner with his dog tag on that. Works great. Great quality

What can I say .... A heavy duty leather collar with a double tyned (I think that's the right description) buckle that replaces a Martindale style nylon collar with plastic quick release clip. The clip failed three times under the dogs pull, an 8mo old male German Shepherd, so that brought using that product to an end. I'm very satisfied with this collar and expect it will last years. Would recommend it ....

Unfortunately, the size chart is not good so my necklace is too big even when I tie it to the last hole.

was a bit wider than i had expected at first, but it suits him very well.i rarely use it to attach the leash to - he's 102lbs, a bit too (re)active and i just don't like yanking him by the collar. but i think it would be sturdy enough for "normal" dogs :)
